    Default Gene

Greetings! I'm in need of the Gene discography. My hard drive committed suicide and I'm rebuilding my collection again. I got ride of my Gene Cd's and singles years ago and can't find any working torrents. If anyone can upload the albums and b sides that would be awesome. Willing to trade or whatever. Love that band!

Some b-sides and non-LP tracks, Olympian-era plus several from the second CD.

I'll try to get more up soon.

    Default Gene fan? New music

Morrissey is known to be a huge fan of Gene (http://www.nme.com/news/gene/3458) and when he compiled the Songs That Saved Your Life for the NME, he put 'Fighting Fit' by Gene on there. That's how I fell in love with the band.

Martin Rossiter, formerly of Gene, is gearing up to release a new album.

You can view more details about it here: http://www.facebook.com/events/145047915636566/
The website for the release will be http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/martinrossiter although you will not be able to see the page until Tuesday at 1pm.

Thought you guys might like to hear about it!

Wish I had more time to post again, miss you guys,

    - Mada

Saw him in Manchester last year and he was superb.

I just pledged some money through Martin's album launch. It works in a similar fashion to IndieGoGo and Kickstarter. There are different rewards for different amounts pledged. I got the reward that gets me into a listening party/Q&A. Amounts start from £8 for just the download of the album. Top reward was £500 for a coat Martin wore on Top of the Pops!

The pledge launch seems to be off to a killer start with over 60% of the target met within a few hours. Martin is donating part of the funds to the awesome animal charity League Against Cruel Sports. I even wrote a short piece about the launch on my blog! http://fatgayvegan.com/2012/08/26/an...me-to-my-soul/

How can you give away your physical CDs? That's strange to me, but it's your choice.
But when you do, and depend on computer hardware...don't you know that a harddisk can die during a second?
    Without any logical reason?

So, the magic word is: BACKUP!!!!
You should've a backup of every personal data...

I can't believe still to read statements like yours above in 2012...
