No Florida? Gee, I wonder why.

Yes, that's the same seating chart the venue referred me to as being the correct one. Are they being serious about folding chairs?? I guess they haven't a clue as to what happened in UCLA in 1991... It's not gonna be a pretty site when people are falling, tripping & getting hurt over folding chairs & the show ends suddenly. Here's to hoping for a better outcome though.

Well, the operator said, when I asked if it was seated or standing room, "I think it's going to be rows of folding chairs." She didn't sound like she knew for sure.
Also, she said she had never heard of Morrissey and was surprised at the number of callers for tickets for him. And, she said, which I thought was super cool, "Ya'll calling in for this show are some of the sweetest, nicest fans that I've ever worked with." :flowers:

That sounds like the same sweet woman I spoke with. She commented on me coming from Big "D" to the grand city of Wichita Falls lol. My only concern is that if they change it to GA & people show up around showtime to find they have no seat it's going to get ugly. I'm still just in shock that when I got a operator on the phone & I requested a front row ticket for Morrissey she said "OK that will be $49" I was just like really, you have a front row available? I fell to floor with relief.

Got 2 tix for the Asheville show--which is all GA--the old fashioned way (woke up at 6:00 and waited in line until Noon).
(I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging... just sharing.)

RobLand:

No lottery?

Up here in cincy they always do a lottery, no matter how small the line is.Really quite lame.

Awesome. Good for you. :thumb:Were there a lot of other people physically there 2 buy tickets as well?

Morrissey!! Come back to the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ.! They finished building the backstage, so you and the lads don't have to get dressed in the middle of the street!

You liked it there, remember? No one in Montclair does anything but sit around and look glamourous. We're your kind of people! I'll take you to Whole Foods and we'll shop for Boz's favorite snacks.

Pleeezzzee!!????

There are 26 seats in the front row of the pit at Radio City. There are currently 12 up for sale at StubHub. I own two others, leaving 12 unaccounted for. My company holds season tickets for several sports at Madison Square Garden, which also owns Radio City, so I called our ticketing contact at MSG asking if he could help me get AAA pit seats. He said he'd put the request in, and given the kind of business we do with them there should be no problems, but I won't know until the beginning of October. Based on this, I'm inferring that as many as half of the best seats are not being released, but are being held and offered to "high-rollers" and season ticket clients. For instance, if you have a box suite at MSG, or even decent season tickets, you are constantly being offered the option of purchasing good seats at their other properties. In summation: keep checking TM, especially after the beginning of October.

And don't forget that it looks really likely there will be some smaller GA club-type dates added in NYC. The Bowery Ballroom was supposedly one of his best shows ever.

He really should do a ticket lottery for as many as 25% of the very best seats for "true fans". It's cruel making people sweat this much.

It is what it is. As you said yourself your business holds season tickets and you could theoretically make use of some of the ones reserved as favors for good customers. So there's not much reason to whine about wanting some kind of "ticket lottery." It would be ridiculous. Plenty of "true fans" have had zero problems buying pit tickets honestly in the sales and presales for the past couple of days for the other shows. Meanwhile, since you said you went to the secondary market you paid the equivalent of a house payment for a pair of Morrissey tickets??? Seriously?

MOZ MOZ MOZ we can never get enough of you!! Really pery this is noy your last US tour Can not wait for the LA show. Longest summer ahead ever

I also ended up with 2 tickets for Wichita Falls, one from the online ticketing in the "mystery section" CC, and then one which I called in, and got Section BB row 2.
My husband was on the fence about attending this show with me, so I guess this will convince him. :)
The operator said it was going to be rows of folding chairs set up, so that will be interesting.

I guess this is the correct seating chart then?

The very nice woman I spoke to when I called in said that there were four floor sections: AA, BB, CC and DD and that sections BB and CC directly faced the stage (meaning sections AA & DD were off to the side or at an angle?). I couldn't find a seating chart that seemed to exactly match up with her description. I wound up with 2nd row seats in section CC. We'll see...

Truetoyou and Suedehead work for Chicago. I tried for 30 mins and kept on getting far balcony. I ended up with some meh main level seats. I'll try again tomorrow. Tickets on ebay are up already. Alot of good main level seats are there if you want to spend around $200. The Chicago Theater is such a pain because of seating to good find tickets. I prefer the Congress Theater its GA and almost the same capacity.

I am the proud owner of one of the front row AAA put tickets. And yes, I purchased it at Stub Hub and yes, I paid a shit load for it and you know what, I don't care. Yes, I wish I could have gotten it at regular price, but it just isn't possible. But being in the front for this show is more important to me than anything else I could have possible spent the same amount of money on. No regrets here. I just wish I could fast toward through summer to October.

or you could have just bought an orch seat and walked up front like 200 people will do as soon as he goes on

Yeah, you're probably right. I wasn't trying to say that I am special or anything because I'm not. I'm probably an idiot for spending as much as I did but I don't mind admitting it. It's what I wanted to do.

Hey, if it guarantees a front row spot for you and you've got the money to spend - you shouldn't feel bad at all. I didn't see your post as being boastful or anything else. I think we're all just a bit edgy - we had a particularly difficult pre-sale date yesterday, and then today was also nerve racking. I agree with whoever said tickets should be saved for true fans through truetoyou or an official Morrissey fan site (is there one?) One password so it's not so confusing and reserved safely for us and not those who wish to make a large profit, or venues who sell them to non-fans because they're members. It really isn't fair. I don't think Morrissey has any control over that, though. At any rate, I'm happy for you! :)

Morrissey New York City dates added
23 June 2012

Due to the instant sell-out of Morrissey's show at Radio City Music Hall, two nights at Terminal 5 in New York City have been added to the schedule.
Morrissey will play Terminal 5 on Friday 12 October, and Saturday 13 October. Tickets for both nights will go on sale on Friday 29 June.

This. It's my money, if I want to spend some of it guaranteeing a good spot to see my favorite artist, that's my business. And I laughed a little at the "house payment" comment. Not even close.

The main point of my post was to share the information I had, offering some reassurance that not all pit tickets are sold. People who really, really want them will get them. And if my MSG connection comes through, I'll probably get those (they will be at face) and offer them to the friends I've made here who maybe weren't able to get tickets close to the stage.

And now there's Terminal 5 to consider. Fun!
