Til' Tuesday/Aimee Mann Awareness

Although probably not the most well known of singers, Aimee Mann was the one who made me start to appreciate music at a time when all I ever heard was the rubbish in the Top 40. She began in a highly underrated band in the 80's called Til Tuesday, in which they had one significant hit 'Voices Carry,' which is a real shame as some of their best work is practically forgotten. The band disbanded after three Albums and Aimee resurfaced as a Solo Artist in 1993 with her first Album, whatever. She is set to release her New Album 'Charmer' in September, her first since 2008. Here are just a few of her songs: 'Voices Carry', 'Wise Up', 'Labrador' and a Cover of Joni Mitchell's 'River'
