    Default Cemetry Gates Re-interpretation

    Hey!

Recently I had to re-interpretate a song for my education (audio production).
Because I'm a big fan of the Smiths I made a new version of Cemetry Gates.
I had to pick a new style to put it in, so I went for the more cheezy part of the 80's (think Phill colins or Cindy Lauper).

Please don't take this 'cover' to serious. It was something that was fun to make and it shows how different the song could be.
The original version is way better of course!

    Give it a spin!

Let me know what you think, It's not perfect.. but then again, who am I compared to the Smiths..

I really want to hear Phil Collins cover Morrissey's entire back catalog now.

Sorry for the lack of real response, but there is nothing to top this

Whoa!? Did you actually add an s to the end of the word "peoples?" Who do you think you are, Morrissey?! :-)
You guys have it real easy. I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down.

I just finally got around to playing this.

I don't like it, but that could be more my disdain for synthy electronic gay crap than because of the merit of your actual ability, or lack thereof.

It's not bad, your voice is not bad at all, and while I hate the electronic crap arrangement, at least you don't sodomize the melody. You didn't ruin the song, like most covers do.

But then again it's hard to ruin a song that great.

awesome work, I thought it was absolutely brilliant even if I don't like electronic music.
