fck forever
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOpz_3O5Lho

seems to be about martyrdom and his feelings towards it. also seems set to the chord rhythm of teen spirit

"f*** Forever
its one and the same its one and the same
so whats the use between death and glory?
i cant tell between death and glory?
Happy endings no they never bored me
Happy endings, they still dont bore me
but They, they have a way
a way a way to make you pay
And to make you toe the line
no i Sever my ties
because I'm so clever
But clever ain't wise
and f*** forever
If you don't mind
oh f*** forever
if you dont mind oh dont mind i dont mind i dont mind
whats the use between death and glory
i cant tell between death and glory
new labour and tory
pergatory and oh happy families
there one and the same one and the same
no its not the same its not supposed to be the same
you know bout that way the way they make you pay
and the way they make you toe the line
i sever my ties
oh im so clever
but your not very nice
so f*** forever
if you dont mind
im stuck forever
in your mind
your mind
your mind
you know bout that way
to make you feel like shit and make you pay
aaaaaaaaaand to make you toe the line
line i sever my ties
well i never
sever the ties
and f*** forever
if you dont mind

im stuck in your mind
your mind
your mind

i switch between this and the s/t which is also really strong if very sun studios. your the only other guy i know who likes him outside of wicked game, cool

I had this on earlier today after reading the Chris Isaak thread. I used to be a huge fan of his and then just kind of fell away—nice to find him again.

WORD! Picked Chris Isaak up today at Long in the Tooth. He's in Bethlehem in a few days, too. Pretty close to us. I'd love to see him and get Vegan Treats beforehand, but...ugh...no babysitters or support staff exist.

Yes that's the gateway song haha.

"How Soon Is Now?" was the Smiths gateway song in North America and that was one of the songs I always gravitated towards whenever it came on the radio as a kid. Weird that I had good taste even as a 5 year old... but there was better stuff on the radio back in the 90s from what I recall lol.

I live about ten minutes from Bethlehem and I had no idea Chris Isaak was playing anywhere near there! I'll have to look into that.

I love Vegan Treats for dessert, but for a meal there's an amazing vegan restaurant in southside Bethlehem called Shankara that is absolutely worth checking out. It's a bit pricey and they're only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, but if you're ever in the area on a weekend and want some amazing vegan food, it's the place to go.

cool derek. yeah thats the truth about how soon is now, thats how everyone im my generation got into the smiths as ive said here many times. same with chris.

neat deritus, you also dont live far from me. we need amorrissey night at some club inbewteen or something

relient k - my girls ex-boyfriend

cute guitar pop

the words:

"When he was seeing her
You could see he had his doubts
And now he's missing her
Because he knows she's missing out

Now it's haunting him
The memories like a ghost
And he's so terrified
'Cause no one else even comes close

He's a guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake that he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend

So then, along comes me
This undeserving mess
Who would believe my life
Would be so blessed

Two years ago
He left all that to breath
Who would've known
It would be everything I need

He's a guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake that he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend

If it wasn't for him
I would still be searching
If it wasn't for him
I wouldn't know my best friend

If it wasn't for him
He would be able to see
That if it wasn't for him
He would be as happy as me

She and I settled down you can bet
That he is going to have to settle for less
He's someone that I would hate to be
I got the girl and he's left with just the memory

He's a guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake that he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend

If it wasn't for him
I would still be searching
If it wasn't for him
I wouldn't know my best friend

If it wasn't for him
He would be able to see
That if it wasn't for him
He would be as happy as me"

"Since reuniting last year, the Replacements have played a handful of shows and announced that they are "likely" recording a follow-up to their last album, 1990's All Shook Down. Today, the Minnesota band have shared "Poke Me In My Cage", a 25-minute long jazz improv piece recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound in Waltham, MA. The track, which was uploaded to the band's Soundcloud along with copyright info, was unearthed by Brad Searles of Bradley's Almanac; listen above."

hilarious

"I woke up to see somebody staring at me
Through the window I knew it was you
That's how we first met I was watching you undress
I winked at you and you threw a shoe called the police

Honey please don't do this to me
I wanna ask you out for Saturday night
If you bail me out I know we can work it out
I picked you cause I knew that it felt right

You dropped the charges then you drove me home
That's when I knew we were alone
I did my best to thank you gave me your name and number
And said we have a date to pick you up and don't be late

Angeline 264-5783 the big house on the corner that looks like
A tangerine great big windows easy to see in
I took my chance and moved in

I turned on all my charm I put my arms around you
Explained the way I met you how I never meant to hurt you
Said you shouldn't be staring at me like that
But I couldn't turn down my first date since I moved to town

We went out for a year
One day her smile turned to tears
Said we can't go on
I've met somebody new the same way I met you yeah
And he nailed me with his charm

Honey please don't do this to me
Stick around I think that we can work it out
Maybe what we had was never meant to last
I still look in your window when I pass your house

Maybe what we had was never meant to last
I still look in your window when I pass your house"

suicide machines - the fade away

"I find it funny that we're at each others throats
We're livin' in the shadows of this town's old ghosts
My side of town was way different from yours
We have our own ideas still we fight the same wars

And do your words fall on deaf ears?
Will our words disappear over the years?
Everything fades away, yeah
As everything fades away

Could we have gotten past simple smiles and small talk?
Music built our pedestals and friends, they built our walls
It's us who let this happen and so I move on
I gave in and you gave up so who's to say who's wrong?

And do your words fall on deaf ears?
Will our words disappear over the years?
Everything fades away, yeah
As everything fades away

My back is against the wall, have we learned nothing at all?
Sob story, same story, sob story, same story
You made it competition
So take your faction 'cause we don't need one
So f*** your faction so we end with nothing

Do your words fall on deaf ears?
Will our words disappear over the years?
Everything fades away
As everything fades away
And so we end with nothing"
