They, thanks for these links, but I recommend the 720p file that is being shared.

The DVD is a larger download, but the quality is far inferior.

There are a few different versions on Smithstorrents.co.uk.
I haven't compared them all, so I don't know which one is better.

There are 3 versions on smithstorrents at the moment.
The best one so far is the one titled 'Viña del Mar 2012 HD 720p'.
This is a single mp4 file though, and cannot be played on standalone DVD players (requires conversion).

What I recommend for people who download all these videos is, instead of burning DVDs (which are NOT high definition), get high definition files, store them on your computer and stream the videos do your TV using one of these Roku or AppleTV boxes. They cost about $50 - $100 and can at least play 720p.

I don't know the details about Roku, but I hear is does a nice job. I have tried AppleTV and works well, however it's more expensive than Roku and there might be a new model coming out in a few weeks.

If you download a 720p (1280x720px) or 1080p (1920x1080px) file and burn a DVD with it, what you're doing is drastically compressing the video to 480p, which I think can be either 720x480 or 640x480. Besides, you'll waste money with blank dvds and time burning it.

Thank you, Flax, for this useful information. And thanks to IR for suggesting that the 720p version can't be played on stand alone players.
I would surely have wasted my time burning it to DVD's.

I still burn some stuff to DVD to watch on the large screen TV, but would be interested to try Roku.
Can the other two versions on Smithstorrents be burned to DVD successfully?

Here is Scandinavia, I have uploaded this as a sample of the best video quality available to date ('Viña del Mar 2012 HD 720p).
Many thanks to the person who recorded the HD TV broadcast and uploaded the mp4 file to smithstorrents.

Gorgeously sharp picture quality. What a huge difference from the DVD version.

Can you suggest a way to convert the 720p version for use on DVD players? Anything that won't give me a virus! Thanks!

I converted the mp4 file to DVD using Nero, and re-authored it to include a chapter for each song.
You do lose a little bit of picture quality but it still looks pretty good, even on a 42" HD screen.

Here is another sample, I Know It's Over.

I am sure someone will create a DVD from the HD mp4 (as I did) and upload it to smithstorrents soon enough.
