These Charming Men, The Village, Dublin - 28 Dec

The venue was full to capacity and everyone delighted with proceedings. A platoon of stage-invading charmers joined the band at the end, after they had stormed through a top set mixing Smiths and solo songs, and mentioned the 25th anniversary of the release of The Queen Is Dead before launching into same. :flowers:

Unusually a support band played as people arrived, comprising half of the membership of These Charming Men, to wit, Lee Brady, singer, and Gavin, lead guitarist. This was Duffel, a revived late '90s act - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-8slnaQEH4 . They had a polished, flowing sound. Their third-last song had immediate pop-hit appeal: perhaps it was this? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-8slnaQEH4 An update of their website would put us right on that score.
