Best song, best line, best lyric right now

I've had a lot of practice. Anyway I'm not a drunk...I don't wake up in the morning and reach for the Southern Comfort. I only drink beer and red wine, and only at night, in the safety of my home. I don't go to bars, I don't drink with other people, I don't drink at parties, and I'd certainly never drink in front of my children.

Sound like you're ashamed to drink in front of anyone, the hallmark of an alcoholic.

I'm doing very well
I can blackout the present and the past now
I know by now you think I should have straightened myself out
Thank you, drop dead.

There's a naked man standing
Laughing in your dreams
You know who it is
But you don't like what it means

You don't like me but you love me,
Either way you're wrong
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

I'm doing very well
I can blackout the present and the past now
I know by now you think I should have straightened myself out
Thank you, drop dead.

There's a naked man standing
Laughing in your dreams
You know who it is
But you don't like what it means

You don't like me but you love me,
Either way you're wrong
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

I think this could be the worst Morrissey's song ever...well taste is a really subjective thing...:)

It was only a test
but she swam too far
against the tide
she deserves all she gets
the sky became mad with stars
as an out-stretched arm slowly
disappears

"Your leg came to rest against mine,
And you lounged with knees up and apart.
And me and my heart- we knew,
We just knew for evermore"

It's so beautifully simple.

This is pretty damn good too:

"Cold loving prose,
We stole each other's clothes.
But when all is said and done,
It's you I love..."

Anyway, do you want to hear my story or not?

About now CG, this seems rather apt.....

" another Holiday inn, another temporary home
And an interviewer threatened me with a microphone
"Talk to me....won't you tell me your story..."

Marillion. Misplaced Chidhood.( album track, CBA looking for it now to put the track-title...)

Trouble loves me
Seeks and finds me
To charlatanize me
Which is only
As it should be
Oh, please fulfill me
Otherwise, kill me

Show me a barrel and watch me scrape it
Faced with the music, as always I'll face it
In the half-light
So English, frowning
Then at midnight I
Can't get you out of my head

either that or

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

I'm torn between the two.

Dear God, take him, take them, take anyone...
The stillborn,
The newborn
The infirm,
Take anyone!
Take people from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Just spare me!

It's a mystery to me
We have a greed with which we have agreed
You think you have to want more than you need
Until you have it all you won't be free

and when darkness lifts and the room is bright
I'll still be by your side
for you are all that matters
and I'll love you till the day I die
