Thread: Idiots

    Default Idiots

Not to the quiet lurkers, but to the posters:
Morrissey sings CBTC live, for the first time EVER, and instead of a joyful discussion of the arrangement and what it was like hearing it live and why he never played it before and why he played it now and how did the Walkers do with it and how were the keyboards and did he change any lyrics and what did his emotional reaction to the song seems to be
You goddamn fucking wankers are ignoring it completely and continuing to bash Morrissey for daring to esteem the lives of animals as much as humans (just as billions of other people believe), too fixated on the righteousness of your own disgusting Morrissey hatred to spend 10 seconds paying attention to what he's actually doing.
    This is HUGE.
And you fucking idiots need to pull your heads out of your asses and realise it.
(yes, it's just a set list choice, but he's a singer - besides albums and concerts and the occasional interview and autobiography, what else is there?)
It's not just me. A glance at facebook shows that this matters to other Morrissey fans too. Just not to you guys apparently.

There's been an unprecedented paradigm shift in the last month. Morrissey is no longer a unified whole: there is Morrissey the person and Morrissey the singer. We will now discuss both as separate entities. The music will be celebrated, the human will be taken to task.

The two are no longer inseparable. This has never really happened before. Hence the total collective-consciousness turning of the tide on Solo, even amongst the hardcores.

He could play Suffer Little Children at this point, it wouldn't change anything.

    Here you go.....

You father was seduced by the dark side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I have told you was true... from a certain point of view.

I always wondered how the Calvin pissing on things was able to become such a huge hit on the vinyl decal market. I can't see Watterson not suing...?

Skylarker, I tend to agree both about Morrissey and about Calvin. In both cases: WTF?

I hate this summer, it's been shit from one end to another.
You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full-time job. Now behave yourself.

Take heart, fellow Strokes fan. We won't be stuck here forever.

    Wait a minute.

You have *2* whole posts?!?!? And instead of STARTING the thread you're bitching about missing, you INSTEAD made a thread IN THE PIGSTY to bitch about a conversation YOU FAILED TO START in the General Forum???

There's something idiotic here, but it isn't everybody else who posts on Solo...

Go start the damn thread already! Sheesh.

Not everyone went to the show.
It's hard to participate in a conversation about 'come back to camden' live if you didn't hear it.
He did not play it live either time I saw him live. I guess I'm not a super fan nor was I geographically situated to see this show.
I take it that means I'm an idiot. Fine. I'm not rude enough to join a forum to call people names at least.

I only browsed the setlists for the '04 and '07 shows to figure out what songs he might play. That makes me an effin wanker I didn't care enough to check out the setlists for this one.
I quite like come back to camden. However is it really that huge he played it live?

[Now the cure playing faith live in Australia did interest me. The old line-up... Gosh now if Moz did that I'd bring myself to care. Whole album tours with old line-ups...]

A few of the members have recently started posting immediately in the pigsty or have made several allusions to knowing the active members here. This has led me to believe that they are banned members that are returning to join in the fun. Do I really believe that some of the members that have been banned against their will or some that have begged the mods to cancel their accounts have actually left? No I do not.
