Thread: Half A Person (3 LP)

Default Half A Person (3 LP)

Saw a three LP set in a record shop recently called "Half a Person" and was just wondering if anyone could provide any details on it? It seemed to be the first two albums plus a few extras spread out over three records. The cover was very un-Smithsish though - just some photo of (I think) people standing around at a train station.
The price tag was £16. That a fair price for it, or should I go back and snap it up at that price?

£16 is about right. It's a Portugeuse release, there's another called How Soon Is Now. The idea of cramming three LPs into one sleeve is not a good one. I've had a few copies, and they've all had torn outer sleeves. More info on Stephane's site here...http://www.passionsjustlikemine.com/...iths-multi.htm

    I wouldn't bother with it.
3 records crammed into a badly designed bootleg sleeve.

I'll not bother then - it's just that I had never heard of/seen it before and thought it might be somewhat of a rarity. I only collect vinyl so I can display the artwork, but the cover on this is atrocious (like a Gary Numan album cover or something), if it was worth more than £16 I was just going to flog it on ebay to get a few extra quid.

But, yeah, thanks for the swift replies!

Yeah, that's the one I saw, vivabob.
Thats the problem with record shops these days, they sell anything of any value on ebay and all the shit that is left is what gets sold in the shop. Can't blame them for doing it, but then they can't complain about how they are all shutting down due to lack of business.

not a bad collection of songs for a casual listener to pick up in a single package for dirt cheap
