I was quiet moved to hear: I know it's over, although I didn't cry...
Oh damn, I wish I had been able to go. First time I can ever remember having tickets for anything and not being able to make it. Hopefully two people got the tickets in time so they didn't go to waste. Berlin is always good city for Moz to play in. He and the band always seem to enjoy it there.
The irony for me tonight is that, to compound my ill luck, I have been bitten in the eye by a mozquito of all things .... I am actually quite concerned ...run out of eye drops.

I don't really know why i should waste my time here, but maybe for the two or three people who still visit this site and are actually interested in the topic of this thread:
I think this was a fabulous concert, a great venue. hard to say how many people where there, maybe 5000?, Morrissey seemed to really enjoy the evening, saying that Berlin is a beautiful city ("the city of art"). Great new song("Scandinavia") Very nice international crowd although a little quiet, in my opinion because of the outside place, entire concert in daylight. I can't imagine that he ever was better in songs like "i know it's over" or "meat is murder".

so, dear friends, reload and continue with your stupid hatred.

Show was good but not one of the great ones. Perfect location, Zitadelle, great for hanging out all day. A very long run across cobbles and sand to make it to the barrier , which held at least 40 irregular regulars, but the stage was way back from the barrier so no hand shaking possible. Open air made showing of the horrible video clips impossible , for which we were thankful.
Several bunches of flowers did make it on to the stage and he was also thrown a book and made a funny face when reading the title. The LP (not sure of singer, Nina something or other, I think). One small comment to Julia "are you warm Julia" but no microphone to her as we were way back.

Several stage attempts with very hard response from bouncers, there was no way anyone could have made it on to the stage. Morrissey did his usual best to give a hand shake to the brave as they were dragged away with unnecessary force, Mr Scottish guy (sorry forget your name) actually made 2 attempts , but failed both times.

The band were dressed in red teeshirts with the McDonalds Logo saying " McCruelty , We're hating' it" and the PETA name in small writing underneath that.

As it was out door MOZ only needed one shirt change. No shirts thrown into the audience, think he stopped this now altogether and no set lists thrown either. Usual drum sticks and plectrums.

Moz made a few comments , " throwing my arms around Berlin". and introducing people are the same, He said, In my short life I have travelled to many places and then he named a few and added, "I'v even been to Essen". He also said he loved Berlin but it had one problem , McDonalds everywhere, or words to that effect.

Great Set List, a lot of oldies.

    Thanks Moz,

Thanks for posting on topic mate - Keep the faith - I'm also fed up of wading through pages of nonsense to find interesting, relevant replies such as yours but hopefully this may get sorted one day...

At best 3000 people (capacity 10000) , bad concert, bad playlist for a so called " best of" concert, only 75 minutes , disappointing

He seldom plays for much longer though ... and as for the set list, that is a tough one ... during the ROTT years etc. some were pleading for some of those songs you heard tonight. With his Moz's back catalogue he is never going to please everybody all the time.

The concert wasn't good at all. The venue was pretty vacant. Morrissey was in good form but the band was terrible.

    +nice venue
    +good concert

    -only 70 minutes
-bad price/performance ratio, I've seen better and longer gigs for less money

Thanks to those who are actually commenting on the shows for those that aren't there. Good or bad, it's what these comment sections are for.

Judging on two shows attended and the clips of the other shows I think Moz's voice is stronger than it has been for a long time. A lot of the arrangements are quite leaden but then Shoplifters is as good as it ever has been.

The new song sounds like a groove without a proper structure (like Ganglord) works well live but nothing special.

The set list seems quite generous as far as I am concerned. We are used to far more idiosyncratic choices than these.

Personally I'd like to see them experiment a little more, especially on the new recordings but, for whatever reason (Moz's luddite nature?) that won't happen...

anyway - roll on more shows and here's to hoping this place settles down...

Can't believe people are complaining about the setlist on this tour...it's about as career-spanning as it will ever get. Back on the Ringleaders tour I remember getting one pre-Quarry solo-era song (Trouble Loves Me) – would have killed for this setlist back then. And I quite enjoyed it when I saw a couple of the Scottish shows. Would love to catch another show or two, but not in the cards this time around, I'm afraid. Enjoy the shows, those that are going. Enjoy wallowing in your own misery, those that are forever bound to this website.

The tour's going fine, as you'd know if you'd been to any of the gigs. It's Morrissey-solo that has gone to the dogs, and David Tseng who ought to give it up as a bad mistake.

We arrived early around at 8.15am to a load of Paul Simon banners, burger huts and other meat joints. Within a few hours theses had all vanished and new signs were displayed selling Noodles, Crepes and other non meat food items. Another Moz Victory.

75 Mins on stage and only one encore now a days. Come on Moz, what's another 3 mins. Euro 50 for 75 mins, have you upped your hourly rate or something ?.

    Location - Perfect
    Set - Wonderful
Stage - Shit , too high and way too far back from barrier for even a feel of a hand.

A little more talkative than of late, which was wonderful.

Good show but not great. Could do better.

Crap venue, weird German audience- no vibe or passion, band not very good, but Moz wonderful as always. Without question the best place to see him play is in Manchester, England.

Agreed! So annoying having to weed through all the same trash to find all the "real" comments. Is there a setting on this thing for when you are logged in to filter/show/hide anonymous posts? I mean, what is the point of having an account?

I love this site and want it to live forever, just getting tired of the same old trash.

The trolls are attacking now because of recent hostility against the site so I don't think it will last. They especially get angered if I personally get support from anyone which I have and in great amounts.

Please bear with me and ignore the useless comments. There are some comments posted anonymously that have actual information, so they are not all bad.
