Wow, you're not gonna believe this.
Moz and the band reappeared for the encore wearing "Fuck Allyouneedismorrissey.com" t -shirts. Unbelievable.
That'll wipe the smug grin off their faces!

Great night. Moz very chatty and shaking hands. Venue very hot. Same set as Bradford with kids a looker in for people are the same.

Morrissey in Grimsby, what the fuck? AMZAZING!! Please come back soon to our shitty back water to bring some light to our otherwise dull and dismal life's!

He commented on heat...is this Havana or Grimsby? Also "there is nothing grim about Grimsby. Some American guy got the mike and said "thank you for coming back through all the shit " or something...

a joke, of course - and not a very funny one!
the f***morrisseysolo thing seems like a big deal at the moment but it will blow over although it has, understandably, left a bad taste in many people's mouths.
perhaps some changes are needed. it seems that it's the anonymous postings that cause the most offence (perhaps anonymity should not be allowed), and also the (occasional) abuse of moderator power, oh and the posting of extremely nasty rumours (but I only remember that happening once, and it was about the band/crrew not getting paid)

Was the American referring to Grimsby or Morrissey's recent controversies? If the altter what sh*t? If the former was he referring to the smell of fish?

Excellent gig, good sound quality. Moz seemed in a good mood, lots of hand shaking. Support band Flats were a thrash punk band, unlike anything I've seen on a Morrissey tour. Shot some video, which I shall post asap. Good times.

Amazing gig, can't fault Morrissey, talkative and funny with his comments such as "there aren't many shoplifters in Grimsby... I think!". Bradford was more entertaining due to his jokes and unbelievably great mood, but it was an amazing gig all the same!
Managed to get the final setlist, the songs were as follows and in this order:

    I Want The One I Can't Have
    (The Smiths*song)
You're The One For Me, Fatty
    You Have Killed Me
    Shoplifters Of The World Unite
    (The Smiths*song)
I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
    Ouija Board, Ouija Board
    The Kid's A Looker
    Everyday Is Like Sunday
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
    (The Smiths*song)
First Of The Gang To Die
    Action Is My Middle Name
    Alma Matters
One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell
    Speedway
    I Know It's Over
    (The Smiths*song)
    Satellite of Love
    (Lou Reed*cover)
    Meat Is Murder
    (The Smiths*song)
    Irish Blood, English Heart

    Encore:
    This Charming Man
    (The Smiths*song)

show was fab, band was good, mr morrissey never disappoints.
after slating the new songs in previous posts, i have to say they are growing on me.
    leeds cant come soon enough.

Well got to say that's the 8th time and the man just gets better. I never dreamt that I would hear my two fave songs live at the same gig. There Is A Light and I know It's Over, I can die a happy woman now Seriously though, it was an excellent gig, could not fault it, the setlist was amazing.

I have been to around 12 gigs over the years and that was definitely upbin the top 5. moz is getting better as he gets older. More relaxed and definitely happy last night. Tempo has slowed down for sure especially on there is a light. The band are still a bit heavy on the sound at times and the spin at the venue wasn't the greatest but overall a great night..

A great night all in all. Definately one of the best Morrissey gigs I've been to. His voice was incredible and he seemed to be having a good time with lots of dance moves and mic cord whipping. Meat is Murder was incredibly moving with the video backdrop. He shook a lot of hands during Alma Matters and seemed to be so into it that he lost his place in the song and had to improvise with lots of 'la laaas' - superb. Someone had made him a brilliant 'The Kid's A Looker' poster with a pic of him as a little boy. He seemed well chuffed with it and took great care after holding it for a while to put it carefully by the drum kit.

My 20th Morrissey gig since '91 and very easily one of the best last night! Very difficult to pick highlights but I Know It's Over was spellbinding. I was glad Action got a good reception and heard everyone near me singing it. It is a great song. He gave the microphone to the man right in front of me, I was thinking of making a grab for it when he had finished to say that version of I Know It's Over was better than the version on RANK - it may have been the emotion of the moment, anyway I missed my chance. Paris, Sunday, Ouija Board, There Is A Light all need a mention. Amazing night.
