    Default Question for the Webmaster

Given all the legitimate complaints and people ditching this site because all of the offense things being written, has the thought of a moderator come into mind? I believe in freedom of speech and thought, but I also believe in the consequences associated with them. If you, as the caretaker of this site does not step in, who can?

Do you think that post should be deleted? There isn't a moderation system for this board. Posts like Greasetea's may be offensive to some and funny to others. They're also a check on the arrogance of people who feel their way is the only way things should be done. Worry more about your own contributions.

So let me see if I understand your logic. AIDS and the shit associated with it is a humorous topic to you? If that is the case, then yeah, delete away. Arrogance has nothing to do with this, it's called civility and if those who post here cannot or will not understand how it works or if one's conscience is so severed that they cannot comprehend that idea, then I say have someone step in and put them in check. Crazy idea, huh, actually be accountable for one's ideas and thoughts.

Overly testy? I think so. No support?
No wonder this board has been surplanted by other Morrissey sites.

I also think David's post was a bit harsh. This board is going to hell and so is the site, there are only 2 more Morrissey sites that are reguarly updated so that makes this one a thing of the past.

Default there must be some way to make this site better

More and more, it's hard to sift through all the silly blatherings and find people with intelligent things to say on this site. I'm sure Morrissey checks out his own site; he must cringe quite a lot.

There are a lot of cool people posting on this site. Unfortunately you also get the hysterical obnoxious people with obvious, shall we say "issues", with room temp IQs that mess up this being a cool site.

    Default What about your accountability

Let me flip your argument on its head. Wouldn't it be reasonable to expect that everyone be accountable for the content that they decide to read? Complaining about being offended by one of greasetea's posts is as ridiculous as complaining about all of the homosexual related content on "Will and Grace." All of greasetea's messages have the same general tone and language. If you don't like that sort of thing, then DON'T READ HIS MESSAGES!!

It's all fine and good to call for civility, and insist that some messages get deleted. Who decides on the standards? What if those standards don't agree with you? It is kind of ironic that you insist that we should be civil, when in many ways your language is worse than greastetea's. How would you feel if your message was deleted?

People for the Ethical Treatment of Morrissey Fans? Is this a newly developed organization? I must join. Most people (especially males I know) have nothing nice to say about the man, and they won't let me play Smiths CDs at work.
