I'll be sad when she dies but I shalln't be spending the resultant day off for 'national mourning' purposes crying into my tea either.

You're going to have to get in the Wayback Machine and talk to Johnny Rotten about the word regime. I think regime is so often used to represent undemocratic tyrannical governments that it might sound out of place when applied to the British Monarchy (pause) but it's really a broad term that can simply mean "a form of government" or "a government in power."

Whether they could currently be shown to profit from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan they live off the profits of centuries of ruthless exploitation and it's not exactly correct to act like they are only actors playing a role. They really do hold billions of dollars of property while students are rioting around them. What good are they? I think it's about tourism to the rest of the world and about trying to maintain some sense of history and tradition to the people of the UK.

I agree completely with you. She didn't understand that Britain is constitutional monarchy which means a kind of regime.
