Thread: Obama's doing a fine job

Default Obama's doing a fine job

If it wasn't for Fox News propaganda, people would know that. Unfortunately, people who voted for Obama a couple years ago were manipulated into becoming racists against him and all his fabulous policies. The right-wing think tanks sure know how to pull some dirty tricks. The voters sure are stupid. Well, except for when they voted for Obama. Now they're stupid again 'cause they've turned on him.

Let's have fun listing all of President Obama's greatest achievements.
I'm just a boy with a heart full of love

I could list them, but you could visit this website Good to see you finally realized Obama has achieved a lot, even though he has to put up with the most condescending, childish and reactionary right-wing 'party of no' ever.

    http://whattheheckhasobamadonesofar.com
I went to the site. Clicking a few random achievements I was not impressed. For example

"Signed the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, giving the FDA the authority to regulate the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of tobacco for the first time."
The reader is apparently supposed to rejoice that new federal regulations have been put in place on an industry that seems to have been doing fine without it for years. We all know smoking is unhealthy but do we have extra money to micromanage one of the few industries not looking for a bailout?

"Signed New START Treaty - nuclear arms reduction pact with Russia"
This seems good. Although we've been reducing the number of arms for decades while still developing newer weapons, and this is probably not really going to make us any safer, at least being friendly with the Russians is a nice thing. Certainly an achievement.

"Increased average fuel economy standards from 27.5mpg to 35.5mpg, starting in 2016"
haha, wait... If he "increased" then he's already done it, but this is something that won't happen until he's out of office. Just a detail but makes me wonder about this website. I really don't think the average American, when asking "what has Obama done for me?", is looking for, "Well, in six years your car is going to get more miles per gallon. How? Well it was regulated!"

"Provided travel expenses to families of fallen soldiers to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB."
    no comment. i

Sarah Palin is not going to be elected President, and she's probably not even running, She is just making the most of her position right now so she can be famous by being divisive and get paid to speak and sell books and be on television.

Do you think Obama is not wrapped in the same flag carrying the same cross, anyway?

Both parties are selling us down the river, yet you're only interested in criticizing one of them. Why?

His Presidency is officially a disaster. Even Jimmy Carter wasn't this bad. The Republicans would have to commit one of the all-time blunders in American history not to take back the White House in 2012. Given the kind of idiots they're trotting out as their "bright stars", though, nothing would surprise me. It's practically a race to see who can flush America down the toilet fastest.

When he tried to push the agenda that was leaning to the left, he was a filthy socialist and the "worst prez" ever. Now he is adopting Republican agenda, so he is doing a fine job. Theo you never disappoint... well actually you always do.

I do think people should judge the President's term with unnecessary prejudice, not remembering that he undoubtedly inherited the largest deficit in history and already encountered a dilapidated Congress, whose petty partisanship basically obstructs the prospects of getting anything done. Sad. It's not completely his fault and I have real criticism against his policies or more aptly his methods. He refuses to command any real leadership, but I saw glimpses of that when he rightfully defended his decision to extend the tax cuts. Yes it might not resolve the dipping deficit, but I think it mostly was a smart political move on his part.

I still have hopes for Obama.

you know, I have really thought about it
if what it takes for the Democrats to start acting like real Democrats
is an abortion like Sarah Palin getting elected
then so be it, really, they have got to stop thinking us real lefties will just vote for liars like Obama has turned out to be
of course, in view of this, I now take back making fun of people in the UK who could not stand Labor so much that you all let the Tories back in
I think I understand that completely now
we need a "new new" Left, like a Post-Post Modern Left
which means basically an end to labels, maybe

Sarah Palin is just a distraction so that when Nobama is re-elected we will be so grateful we won't care about things like WalMart joining the Homeland Security who seem to spend most of their time working for the movie and recording industry taking down websites that trade illegal files.

Where's Osama? I think Disney can handle their own copyright infringement cases.

I completely agree with you, but post-modernism is rubbish and that template needs to be thrown out entirely. I do agree with end of labels that discriminate and pigeon-hole, but distinctions aren't a bad thing.
