Default Kanye West set to expand Fatburger empire

Quincy Jones may have said that Kanye West is “just a rapper,” but we’ve just discovered a bit of news that leads us to say, “au contraire, mon frère.” Apparently Yeezy thought that already owning two Fatburger franchises just wasn’t enough, as HipHopDX now reports that West has purchased the rights to open ten more stores in the Windy City. He bought the rights through his holding company – KW Foods LLC – and West’s manager, Gee Roberson, explained the rapper’s ambition to be a restaurateur like this:
“Music is the foundation for everything Kanye does, but he doesn’t want to be defined only as a musician. He’s really a designer, [and] he wants to do deals where he can have his fingerprints on the products.”
In the case of the burger joints, those fingerprints are going to be pretty damn greasy. Fatburger – which first opened in Los Angeles in 1952 – calls itself “The Last Great Hamburger Stand” and his famous for it’s 24 oz. Triple King Burger (pictured in the thumbnail). Despite, being extremely unhealthy, this writer can personally attest to a Fatburger’s deliciousness, so it’s no wonder West – along with Queen Latifah, Pharell Williams, and E-40 – have an interest in the joint.
In fact, you can own your own Fatburger store, too. So, Kanye idolaters who just realized that they may never be able to craft an album like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, can rest assured that they can at least own the same restaurant as their favorite rapper. Franchise opportunities are available by clicking here. Chicagoans interested in checking out Kanye’s existing Fatburger restaurants should hop The EL to Beverly or La Grange Road to get their fix.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I just can't imagine anybody willingly eating at a place called "Fatburger". I don't know, but to me it's kind of like calling a fast food place "Heart Attack City" or something. How can anybody actually eat that "XXXL Triple King" burger?

Minor quibble... if they "hop the El" to Beverly or LaGrange Road to get a Fatburger, they'll walk off at least as many calories getting there as the burger contains. Neither location is anywhere near an El stop.

What then is salvation? I believe that salvation is the process through which one suddenly is able to bear that this life is meaninglees, empty, cold and indifferent - in itself a nothingness.

If you check their Youtube channel, you'll see that such people do exist.

Haha, that is one mean-looking burger.

Personally, I love a great burger. However, my idea of a great burger isn't one where you have simply tripled the proportion of meat. Also, I generally find that a lean burger tends to be a good burger. More clean meat, less meaty fats. Although ideally you do want fats of some kind involved. It's a simple physiological fact - fat transports taste to the tastebud, that's why butter generally makes nearly anything taste terrific, it helps beyond just adding a buttery element to the taste.

The key is the spices, and a mode of preparation/meat mixture that keeps it juicy. And the sauces and accessories of course. You don't make a good buyrger by just piling on the meat.

    cheers

I watched a couple of the videos and I just feel sick. Over 350 pounds - eat for free! And the personnel dressed as nurses, not only unhealthy beyond belief - sexist too. I really wonder why there is a problem with obesity in America.

I surely hope so. But I'm not sure. Not at all.
