    Default Technical question - iTunes

Tech question. One of my computers is dying, but it's the one with my iTunes library on. If I install iTunes on another computer, is there a way of importing the iTunes library from the old one to the new one, so the new one recognises it as the new library?

    Ta,

Well if your library is still on your iPod, you could plug that into the new PC and transfer the songs, but it's time-consuming.

I just had the same issue.

One computer died and I got a new one.

I am going to copy my itunes library on to a flash drive and then import it into itunes on the new computer. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Does anyone know if a printer that is incompatible with Windows 7 can be made compatible in any way? My old printer which was only about 3 years old is not compatible with my new computer, so now it's just sitting here useless after I just spent hundreds on new ink.

I just did this by copying all the music to a external drive, attached to the new computer and then copy/pasted into the new iTunes folder. Once all there, import that folder and you should be good to go.

    I've got 2 questions.

    1) Album art: Is there any easy way to import the pics for all of the albums? I don't necessarily have them all at the moment

    2) When I installed iTunes on my new PC, its telling me I've reached the max number of licenses (5). I installed on at least 2 work PCs that I no longer use (no longer at those companies)....is there a way to free up those spots?

What happens when you plug the printer in? Does your computer recognise it?

My old Epson printer wasn't compatible with Vista when I switched from XP, but I could still print to it - just not open up the settings/configuration utility etc whilst using Vista. It was alright for basic stuff though - might be similar for you?

Not sure about the licenses - but if you create an account with the iTunes store and click "Get Album Art" in your iTunes preferences, the artwork should download automatically when you import/play the songs.

I couldn't even get to the point of plugging it in. First I had to install the printer software and it told me it wasn't compatible with Windows 7. So I just stopped there. I think it's time for a new printer.
