organize a smiths/moz party in germany?

.thought about this today
since morrisseylicious (the queer moz party-berlin. 70-80% morrissey/smiths)isnt happening anymore(as the club where it was held isnt exisiting anymore) in berlin here we should install a quarry night in germany too..would love to...i miss going to them, im sure robert would love to dj..

..but it will comes down to somebody organising it, and paying the dj. , expenses..etc.one doesnt need tickets a stamp on one hand is alright already i think--.like that one guy who rents a pub in the east end last year who wrote on here about it. also one good is beside berlin is NRW cause its easy to reach which all the big ciites up close..do you know if and how that would be possible? and if the money for the dj is not possible do one moz fan will manage that-dealing with playing stuff

big probs to robert-(r normally resident of the monthly berliner morrisseylicious-party dj) on the small floor- did play a lot of gems : reel around the fountain, a swallow on my neck, skin storm, nobody loves us, etc etc...

I`m not sure if it would work the other way around - a dj with contacts /infos about venues/regions contacting them. There are several Depeche mode/Britpop discos around which I did notr visit, maybe they play Morrissey/the smiths already. If masses show up/dance wildly to that, the local dj might get convinced to include gradually more Smiths/Morrissey. Maybe local non-commercial venues might be available to amateur dj`s like you and me ...local lgbt+ /womens venue ... problem is I want to dance not dj and I`d like to meet fans and am the only one in the village.

Maybe we should make a dance tape/cd and just plug it in ... hijack a venue ... remember the guy who hijacked a radio station at gunpoint to let them play 2hrs of smiths ... Glad I`m a quaker (erm nonviolent , amongst other things)

yeah but sth like quarry who plays only the smiths /moz like in quarry/star and gater as we know would be lovel.y..there are enough hardcorefans here who would go, i think..an on these britpop events one can be lucky if they play like 2 songs (guessing hsin and ibih haha)i think it doesnt have to be monthly but at leasrt every 2-3 months.i dont have ..wir können ja auch deutsch sprechen.. also ich habe die mittel nicht die man vorschiessen muss und im organisieren i bin ich auch nicht sehr gut,,,djayen kan ich auch nicht aber da wird sich schon jemand finden

Kein Problem. Dachte daß ein DJ Orte kennt, Publikum eoinschätzt und von sich aus auf Szenekneipen/ Läden zugeht. Geld und Zeit zum Organisieren hab ich leider auch nicht, aber was hälst Du davon selbst ein Britpop/Manchester/Northern Soul abend zu machen mit 80% Moz - Wie bei Kosmetik: selbermachen und du weisst was drin ist

Wenn Du kein/wenig Geld willst findest Du sicher eine Möglichkeit das in einer kleinen Location zu starten. Problem das ich sehe ist die Gema. Flyer designen verteilen Flyerkosten. Deko????

das geld vorschiessen und organisieren sollte jemand der auch dort wohnt.. ich kenne mich zwar super in berlin aus, aber wohnen tue ich da nicht- aber da schliessen und eröffnen die clubs sehr schnell..
günstiger wäre evtl ein jugendzentrum...
und geldtechnisch ebenso.nada
deko lässt sich problemlos umsonst gestalten..man druckt einfach den frink thread aus haha

ich frag mal einen von einer seite wo ich bin der dj ist wie das mit dem gema rechten läuft...

don't think the responses on there are any indication of how popular it would be. Even the Quarry night threads typically tend to get only 3 or 4 responses.

entweder die djs der anderen nächte ansprechen ob sie offen für mehr moz sind/extra abend oder eigene Moz/Northern disco in Zentrum. Wenn die keine VBeranstaltung am WE haben freuen die sich über Initiative und umsatz. Aber entweder es braucht DJ (teuer) oder selbstgemachtes tape/cds. Frink thread ausdrucken is net ganz billig :-)
