Marr on Rory Gallagher

Johnny Marr has just featured this evening on an RTE (Irish Television) documentary on the legendary Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher.

It was nice of Johnny to admit he's once or twice nicked Rory's fancy Guitar trick of pulling the string away from the fretboard insted of using the tremolo bar.

On a side note I saw Rory Gallagher play the lark by the lee festival years ago in Cork and he was mesmerizing to watch playing live.

I saw that too. With plaudits from Marr, Slash etc, it begs the question why the 'I'm in a Rock n' Roll Band' missed Gallagher: sheer laziness I expect.
