The Smiths were more than very good, they were able to create master pieces of pop music like no other band did before or after them. The right guys in the right place, in the right moment with talent enough to compose jewels wich are adored by people from different ages, cultures, and with a message wich can be translated overseas, so, you can consider they are not just an english thing, but like many wonderful artists before, they were able to make their art something universal and still relevant to so many people around the world.
