T H A N K Y O U !
To everyone who came to Panic last night. I thought it was better than the last one!
Thank you - Johnny and everyone from Strangeways.

Andy from www.thisisindie.com

Gavin from Huddersfield for writing the excellent review in Huddersfield Student.

The Poster Mafia for putting all my posters up.

Dawn from Metro free newspaper for the ad.

Grim for replying to my posts urging people to come, also loads of people were asking where is the guy with the CDs.

Sky's very own Brn Law for being the only (minor) celeb to turn up.

And finally our lass for driving the Chevette back home, it's not the easiest car in the world to drive and I'd have gone to jail if Id drove back.

The next Panic will be on Saturday 18th May.

It was brought to my attention by two reliable sources that 3 Moz dates have been booked in London, Birmingham and Glasgow for July. If anyone has got the time to scratch around and call around venues you might find out when and where these dates are.

Panic on the streets fo Birmingham...Tour Goss!!

Word on the ground is Morrissey will be playing The Birmingham Academy IN THE SUMMER.Spoke to the girl at the ticket office and she said NOTHING has been booked BUT she had heard rumours that something is in the pipe line.

I came off the phone with the feeling that THERE is some truth in the recent rumours.

Erm, not strictly true - The keyboard player from "The Invention of Hands" was there...

Top night though - can't wait for the next one!

A Success.

I would never have believed that a Smiths night could take off in a town so heavily populated by Inbred ravers.

But Saturday night was a cracker, better than the last one- when it was just VDs mates and people from this site. I was very drunk but their must have been a good couple of hundred there.

ps. Vauxhall, are we going to London, Glasgow or Birmingham then?
Why no Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds?

Re: A Success.

It was indeed a great night. Shame about the poor quality sound, but I suppose that's more the fault of the venue.

> I was very drunk but their must have been a good couple of hundred there.

Steady on! There were no more than 100 at most I'd guess. Just about right actually - I hate overcrowded dancefloors. It would be very interesting to find out the official attendance figure, VD...?

I've just heard via the grapevine that an after-gig Smiths/Moz disco party is planned for Birmingham - excellent! I wish they'd hurry up and confirm the exact dates.

At least I can claim I was at the inaugural Panic night. But Sorry I missed this one, and to think I was in Manchester again last week as well.

I'll see if I can arrange something to be in town.

Of course, I may try and tour all (English and some US) dates this time. When we know more, we'll have to make plans.

Keep up the good work Vd.

Hey Bangin em'.. Can't believe you were more drunk than the previous time. Did you take your bemused girlfriend again ?!

Re: A Success.

There was around 155 people there this time. The first night 130 turned up. The venue holds 300.

Re: A Success.

Bangin em'was absolutly plastered, he was on a parr with the first night.

Okay, I phoned around for the Scottish venue. They hadn't heard anything at Glasgow Barrowlands, Royal Concert Hall, SECC, or Clyde Auditorium. Should I be trying something a bit smaller i.e. King Tuts (or whatever). I know Mike and Andy played there recently.

By the way, I thought if you had a job in telesales, you were supposed to be POLITE on the phone. Miserable old buggers.

Er, perhaps about the same, I don't really remember.

My girlfriend was there, she was n't too happy when this big girl tried to snog me; or maybe it was the other way round-

Either way I got a right earful.

Hey Ruff, might see you at one of the rumoured gigs this summer- will it be Birmingham, London or Glasgow or all three?

Was your brotherv there?

Probably a wicked three-way in the offing and you missed out!

Another earful, again? How is her gorgeous mate!!

Oh yes.. Doubt if I'll go to Scotland.. too far. But certianly the Midlands will be cool for a trip.. And the American leg entices.

I am sceptical of this tour rumour though.. Too much conjecture, too little fact.

Re: A Success.

No, he's not as big a fan of the Smiths as me and had a hot-date with a 17-year old in Keighley, the dirty sod.

> Probably a wicked three-way in the offing and you missed out!

We'd have needed a big bed, this girl was no shrinking violet! To be honest the way I was feeling I'd have done well to have managed a twosome.

> Another earful, again? How is her gorgeous mate!!

Her mate was there and she was pulling some lanky fella, nothing serious though- I'll definitely put a word in for you. VD tells me you were chatting up the Magic Fairy on this site a while back- not realising that he's a he. That's the problem with computer courting, you never know what or who you're getting yourself into.

I'm with you there, and this site is a breeding ground for rumour. In the meantime we will have to content ourselves with tribute-nights. I'll be in Manchester definitely for the next one (the girlfriend's not going to stop me this time!) maybe see you then.

Ha ha.. As enjoyable a read as it is to meet you in the person! A Big bed is required for all those olympics we are capable of whatever the number or the situation I'd suggest.. but she obvioulsy took the 'some girls are bigger than others' refrain literally!

Must say that I did chat with the Magic Fairy.. but only about OJ and Half Man Half Biscuit and not in any other lewd or suggestive way!! He's betrothed to LMC apparrently didn't you know?

We'll wait for fact then to overtake the rumour, then we'll all be up Ticketmaster grabbing our tickets.

It's funny to note for such a quiet and self analysing fanbase as that of the Smiths and Morrissey there are quite a few tales of drunken excess and partying on here. What happens to all the shy sensitive souls?

Whats happend to TMF and LMC and why....

Has Grim and The Goat been so muted.

Re: Whats happend to TMF and LMC and why....

We're both still around! Not much to say about things on the board recently. I played "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" again this week though. I finally picked up a copy of "Ostrich Churchyard", so played the tape in the car on the way to work. It was fab... I nipped out in the car at lunchtime yesterday and then when I came back I sat and listened to a couple of songs while reading the paper I'd bought. The weather was Spring-like, I had the window down so everyone could hear, and it was bloody marvellous. A definite album for the Summer. Genius.
