Music Nationality Statistics- Where do your favorite bands come from?

I wonder if anyone has questioned the national diversity of their musical tastes. One would assume that since this is a Morrissey website, that most here would have preference to chiefly U.K. produced music. My preference for U.K. music is staggering really, (But not surprising):


Sweden comes in third no surprise there (The Swedes have keen pop sensibilities ABBA, the Cardigans, The Radio Dept. etc)

Britain dominates my record-shelf too, certainly. The US would definitely be second. Sweden would also feature heavily, but I am not sure if it would outnumber Norwegian records, for my part. But then I'm Norwegian so it doesn't really count. Everyone's more into their own scene than what would strictly speaking by justified on merit alone. There's quite a lot of good stuff though. Germany, a fair few. Also Canada and Australia and Ireland, but they really connect into a larger Anglophone scene essentially. Some Italian, mainly neofolk stuff like Camerata Mediolanense and Ain Soph. After that it gets thin and very occasional.
