    Ooofff...

Used to be a sweet boy - Capo 4th fret

    C...F...C...G...C...F...C...G...C...C7

    F...Fm...Em...G...C...F...C...G...C

    and so on until...

    F...Am...F...Am...F...Am...G#...G

    And so on.

Papa Jack, not so sure. Will give it a go.

cool thanks. Used to be a sweet boy is one of my favorites.

The first few chords of Papa Jack I think are:

    D...Dmaj7...D6...A(?Variation)...D(?variation)

Not sure what that A chord might actually be. And the last D is a Maj7 chord but with the G on the high E string added. Not sure what that chord is called.

Anyways, I get lost after that.

This and many others were in the I Am Hated For Loving Chords thread on page 3 of the Tab section

    Papa Jack

    - = slide
Gm = can add your own tab on
Chorus: play around a bit with it - these are the main chords used

    For the fade ending, play D(2ND) F(5TH) G(7TH) Bb(3rd) Eb(3rd) E(4TH)

    I also play the verse D like this (just me though!): (D D Dsus4 D Dsus2 D D) - Dmaj7 etc

    Intro:

    D Dmaj7 D7 C#7-E7
    Gm D#7-F#7 D D

    Verse:

    D Dmaj7 D7 C#7-E7
    Gm D#7-F#7 D D

    Papa Jack
    Wants to turn
    Back the clock
    And reach out
    To the kids
    He once had
    Who have flown

    D Dmaj7 D7 C#7-E7
    Gm D#7-F#7 D D

    Papa Jack
    In decline
    Feels inclined
    To reach out
    To the kids
    He once had
    Who have flown

    Chorus:

    Bb C
    A C D
    F C D

    But there was a time
    When the kids reached up
    And Papa Jack just
    Pushed them away

    Break:

    D-C Cmaj7 C Cmaj7
    D
    D-C Cmaj7 C Cmaj7

    Verse 2:

    D Dmaj7 D7 C#7-E7
    Gm D#7-F#7 D D

    Looking deep
    In his heart
    Papa Jack
    Doesn't like
    What he sees
    Or the time
    On his hands

    D Dmaj7 D7 C#7-E7
    Gm D#7-F#7 D D

    The dying day
    The chilly sun
    Papa Jack
    All alone
    Sings slow
    Grieving and low

    Chorus 2:

    Bb C
    A C F
    D C D

    But there was a time
    When the kids reached up
    And Papa Jack just
    Pushed them away

    D F-G (rpt several!)

    F Eb
    Bb D-E
    F Eb
Bb D-E (RPT FADE) OR D7-E7

Fade Tab: a short version of the tab at the end
