(broke up with my gf, kind of, during it)

Last gig:

Worst - Loads but in recent memory Graham Coxon 2009, King Tuts, Glasgow
Last - Brendan Benson, Last night, Oran Mor, Glasgow

(I can't really remember my worst gigs just now but I think someone already said Mark Kozalek who was woeful last year and wore a Scream mask through the whole set and Coxon was only terrible because he was doing an all new acoustic set and folk got bored and left...)

Anaesthesine, I'm seriously jealous of your first concert. :guitar:

Mine isn't quite as great. :p

First: Beach Boys - June 1980

Best: So many esp in smaller venues...Duran Duran 2003, Poi Dog 1996 (but I love every show), Big Audio Dynamite 1991, Tragically Hip 1996... but I gotta go with Morrissey Oct, 2007. After nearly 20 years on his trail, I get a handshake, the mic and a calf grope in one show. :guitar:

Worst: I've never gone to anything I didn't want to see (unless you count Pearl Jam in 1994). What makes concerts bad are the people or the venues...like when I saw The Killers in 2006 at Congress Theater -it was a sea of cell phones and someone's mace went off in the crowd- and then the Decemberists in 2007 in Millennium Park. It was a free show and everyone was there, it was shoulder to shoulder people, 100 degrees out (we welcomed when the rain came) and I couldn't see squat. My girlfriend had a panic attack and we left early.

Last: Pink, Sept 2009

Next: Handsome Devilz next Weds. And Morrissey, when he announces Chicago.

Way. :guitar:

Actually, I was just talking to someone (a little older than I) who saw The Clash in a small club. He said it was like a religious experience.

Unfortunately, by the time I saw them supporting The Who, they were beginning to fall apart, plus it was a stadium show, so it lacked a certain something.

Still, it was a great way to start.

I think my first show would have been Judas Priest, if I could have gotten anyone in high school to go with me...
