Arsenal are still the dark horse in this title run-in. Good win today at the Reebok Stadium, where southern teams usually do not like to play.

Closest and best title run-in for years.

In all truth that looked like City's cup final, next week will be a totally different story. They were hanging on by a thread at the end, 5 more minutes and it wouldve been 2-2. Tevez has shown once again tonight what a petulant money-grabbing twat he is though.

    Another 5 minutes??????
How many do you want???? It's a 90 minutes game (+ Fergie time 5 mins) not a 100 minutes

It's amazing how many times united get the bent refs and never complain..... one against them comes out and it is ''bring back hanging''.

I remember the FA Cup match in the 90's..... Eric the Frog being ''awarded'' a penalty by Alan Wilkie when the ball was 30 feet up in the air......
City were winning comfortably 1-0 and went on to lose 2-1

Refereeing in general is shit. Everton got a soft penalty at the weekend (although thoroughly deserved the win) Can't wait to hear what Fergie has to say about it.

Funny how the people who always say this wouldnt have the bollocks to take a refereeing course themselves...

Not to mention taking charge of games where you are the smallest person on the pitch by about a foot, and where at times you get abuse shouted at you for the whole 90 mins.

Maybe.. you have a point, but then something needs to be done to help refs like video technology or something

But where does it end...I think the thing to do is to accept that just as players regularly make mistakes and change the outcome of the game then as too do referees...we're only human at the end of the day.

My friend, who is a FIFA assistant ref on the Premiership week in week out, makes a maximum of 1 or 2 errors a season and when he does make these mistakes will berate himself for days. When I hear some people saying that the refs dont care and are only in it for the power, they couldnt be more wrong, believe me.

That's not to say I don't get pissed off when what I see as a "blatent" foul isnt given but at the end of the day you have to ask yourself, a) was it deliberate on behalf of the ref (i can assure you the answer is no) so b) one has to accept it as a mistake and move on...

Rio is back today and things will start clicking into place from here on in.
A special message for all those who persist in writing us off: United top of the league by 5 o'clock this evening!

We'll beat the bitters on Wednesday and put an end to their silverware ambitions for yet another year.
How many is it now? I am losing count...

    Come on United!!

I believe it is 34 (well that's the number 'Nited fans kept chanting over and over again the other night).
Do you really think Rio is match fit? I mean, has he played any reserve games? He may be OK against Hull..... but up against Bellamy, Tevez and maybe Adebayor?

How many games more have you played over everyone else?

Listened to BBC Manchester, reporter said you didn't play that well and scoreline flattered. Of course not playing well and winning is always a good sign - but a good sign for City on Wednesday too
Rooney has peaked four days too soon (hopefully)

Just back from Rooney's one-man demolition of Hull City.
Not played brilliantly but there was never a doubt as to who the winner would be.
Rooney's 4 goals deserve special mention, best English player by a long distance at the moment.

Rio played really well to say he's been away for such a long time, Hull were not exactly challenging but he did well nonetheless.

Bring on the bitters and let's see how far we can shove the Topo Gigio up Tevez' arse after we beat them.

    Bring on Wednesday
PS, as someone said on BBC Manc today, 'Nited fans are more bitter than Boddies

Don't dispute the comment about Rayne Wooney, on Tuesday everytime he got the ball I was shouting ''Close the f**ker down and don't give him space'' (not that MANCini heard me as I was in the opposite stand), but how many goals has he scored against the ''big'' clubs (I know he'll bag a hatrick now and I'll look a daft twat)

Going to be a very interesting night
