Why don't you both shut up, eh?

Like your opinion counts. Canada's not even a real country anyways.

Canada, the poor slob's U.K.

Canada is the poor slob's UK. I read somewhere that Morrissey was not too "Keen" on going there to tour, but he hadmortgage payments and then reconsidered and played there anyway. Some of his best shows took place in Canada anyway.

I wonder why he doesn't live in England. Is it the not all that attractive women or just the bad teeth on the general population.

...no...

...he doesn't live here because, as Britain is usually at least 10 years ahead of America in clothes/fashion and always ahead in music, his days of success here were over by the time you lot had heard of him (remember his first hit here was nearly 20 years ago)....and Morrissey's ego CANNOT take justified critiscism, bad press or flagging record sales.

So he's living in the land of career suicide, the country he always claimed to loathe with a passion, the culture he'd denigrate at any opportunity.

Well done, Stephen.

Ahem.

I believe it's the U.K. taxes and Social Health care that drove him away from the U.K.

Russ T - Hey I like your posts but you really have a lot of anti-American sentiment coursing through your veins. I'm not talking about this thread, but just your posts in general. Sure some of the things you say are true, but it goes both ways.

Hey Russ, Morrissey says...

...he doesn't live there because, as Britain is usually at least 10 showers behind America in personal hygiene and always behind in music, his days of success there were over by the time we heard of him (remember his first hit there WAS nearly 20 YEARS ago)....and Morrissey's ego CANNOT take justified critiscism from a bunch of stinky old uptight drunkards, bad press or flagging record sales.

So he's living in the land of career opportunity, the country he always claimed to loathe with a passion, the culture he'd denigrate at any opportunity until he got to know and love her.

Well done, Stephen.

Amen.

Re: Hey Russ, Morrissey says...

No, Morrissey is nice and stinky like a true Brit. As you said, those Brits still stunk when they were in the US, and so does ol' Moz. Aahh.. B(ist)O!

Career opportunity?! He'd have been better ringing 'learndirect' (0900 11 11 99 - Oh wait, that's the Trisha show number..) for all the good moving abroad has done to his career! You silly thing.
