Default The Pipettes and The Wedding Present at August Brighton Festival

Anyone else love both TWP and the Pipettes?
If so, and you can get to Brighton on August 22nd, you're in for a treat!
They're both playing at a TWP curated mini-festival. Splendid!
    Details here; http://scopitones.co.uk/news/tours/
I didn't even know The Pipettes were still a going concern - their website hasn't been updated for months...

    PS and here are both bands' five best songs;

    TWP
    1 Blue Eyes
2 Every time a car drives past
    3 Crawl
    4 Nobody's twisting your arm
    5 Oh Carolyn

    TP
    1 Judy
2 Because it's not love (but it's still a feeling)
3 He's good enough to smile at me
    4 Why did you stay?
5 Tell me what you want

Not being pedantic but I think you might mean 'I'm Not Always So Stupid' which was the b-side of 'Nobody's Twisting Your Arm'. All 4 tracks on that single are great, a rarity for singles nowadays.
    Interesting top 5 btw

I'm joining in but CF beat me to the one that really did it....option 5 the song is called "Carolyn".

Yes an interesting top 5 - I'd only agree with Blue Eyes (Take Me!, Flying Saucer, Perfect Blue, Ringway - so many to choose from as DLG would say)

I'll see you lot in Brighton

Take Me's good, Flying Saucer's passable but don't think much of the other two recent ones. They seem to suffer from the general latter-day Wedding Present malaise; stodgy, uninspired music and clumsy, cringey lyrics...
