Thread: 5 weeks today!

    Default 5 weeks today!

The football season starts again (or the Premier League does, the other leagues usually start a week before).

About time too....... weekends in the summer are shite......

This summer's going faster than I expected. Just 4 week 'til I'm at Elland Road.

After Leeds we have QPR and Norwich. Hardly an easy start.

    Geddon City!

Sky sports news with their breaking news of non events is a godsend in these barron months. They're now even sending reporters out to pre-season friendlies. I was glued to the latest updates of the Bradford Burnley game earlier.

They were everyones favourite to go down last season and qualified for Europe So dont be so down on this coming season.
Main thing is, the longer you are in Europe.... do you have the squad to do the business in the Prem.....?

depends if you lose any of your key players, as things stand, you're better than half of the prem, so surely you'll finish in the top 10, especially with Hodgson in charge

JJ, how do you see City doing this season?

Top 5 ?? Or do think they still need to build their sqaud?

    My prediction for top 5:
    1. Chelsea
    2. Man Utd
    3. Liverpool
    4. Man City
    5. Arsenal

    3 Relegated teams:
    18. Stoke
    19. Sunderland
    20. Burnley

    Love PTxx.

This season could yet turn out to be a fluke. The run in europe will stretch the squad and I don't think Roy has enough funds to spend on new/better players.

Hangeland has turned down a double your wage deal, Zamora to Hull looks likely although Zamora was hardly a key player with his 2 goals in 32 games. Murphy is 32(?) now and wont be as good as this season. But still we should hopefully stay in the top 10 with a good run in Europe as well

Burnley, Brum and Wolves will be fucked..... as will Slumberland, Hull and Blackburn / Bolton..... Fulham will be more than OK.

    Dempsey's your best player

and Sunderland will stay up, i reckon, they're spending too much to go down, albeit, £5m on the ok at best, Frazier Campbell.

I reckon Portsmouth might go down this year

Unless we sign Aguero or Pato I think United are gonna retain it. Ribery is well over-rated. I hope Manure get him.
