TO EVADE SATANIC INFLUENCE AND PROTECT YOUR SHOES,

OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

1. Clean your shoes regularly with leather cleaner to remove surface dirt. Do this often – would you think about only cleaning your clothes once a year?

2. Moisturize when your shoes are new and then once a month FOREVER, with dubbin or mink oil. This will keep leather soft and help prevent stiffness and cracking. This will also help protect them from rain, snow, sleet, and other things that fall from the sky.

3. Depending on frequency of wear, polish your shoes regularly – likely every couple of weeks to every couple of months. Smooth on with a soft polish brush, let thoroughly dry and buff with a shoe brush. Liquid polish is quick and easy to apply, but needs to be applied more frequently; a paste polish lasts longer and provides a great glossy finish but takes more time to apply. A cream polish once a month is a happy medium.

4. Weatherproof regularly, how often depending on the environment you live in. Seattle in winter – monthly at least. Texas in summer – less often.

5. Don’t place shoes near direct heat, this can dry and crack leather. If your shoes are wet, never use a hair dryer, put them in the oven, wave a blowtorch in the air around them, or put them by a roaring fire; stuff each shoe with newspaper and let them dry naturally.

6. Use a shoehorn to put on your loafers or Satan will destroy the back of your shoes!

7. Give all shoes a rest – not wearing the same shoes two days in a row gives them a chance to dry out, slows the aging process and helps prevent foot odor. Heck, why not buy another pair right now and alternate wearing them?

8. Do not wear your Fluevogs with socks labeled “Made in Hell” or featuring pictures of The Backstreet Boys. They may implode.

9. For suede, nubuck, or non-leather shoes, ask one of our friendly sales associates or email us at [email protected] for tips and products.

10. Remember that leather is a natural substance that with proper love and care will last a long time. Your shoes work hard and take a pounding every day – be kind to them!

And to close, a thought for those against animal products as clothing...with proper care, your leather will "live" alot longer than it would have had it stayed on the animal it came from! :)
