Best of luck to Coulter. I may swing by and show my support. Unfortunately, the liquid lounge is just about the worst venue that I have ever been to. It is basically an "L" shaped bar with a stage thrown to the side as an afterthought. There aren't many places to sit comfortably and enjoy the show, and there aren't a lot of places to stand where you aren't in someone's way (if you stand in front of the stage, you are between the main entrance and the bar.)

I went to a spoken word performance there, and had to strain to hear over the meat-market at the bar. Hopefully it will be different on Friday night... my experience may have been ruined by all of the people going to the bar after the Tool show at the Key Arena.

I met this guy in the Temple Bar area of Dublin a few hours before Morrissey played at the city's Ambassador Theatre in October. He cut quite a striking sight with his quiff and 60s garb that I had to go over and have a word! I had no idea he was a songwriter. He was very friendly and had his picture taken with the Merseyside Bruise Boys' tour flag. Good on him!
