Single/album released under different name in Australia ?

I'm not sure where I read this...online or maybe in Autobiography (??) but was there a Smiths single or album originally released under a different name only in Australia?

'Viva Hate' was released as 'Education in Reverse.' I was lucky enough to get Moz to sign he, he looked at me and gave me a little 'tut tut' as he did it, quite funny.

I always though Education In Reverse was a great title. His mind was cleaver sharp back then. It's a shame it never inspired a lyric.
