All in all, despite the tame setlist, it was a great night. Mostly thanks to a enthusiastic bunch at the front. Especially halfway it got a bit boring. It's something I've seen him do all the time lately. I'm not sure if it's because he likes those songs that much or simply because it costs too...
The reason I have a higher Jesse-T tolerance, still not liking him, is that he's not butchering EVERY song anymore. The rest of the guys have claimed more musical space. So he has less opportunities to mess things up. So to say: you are right.
After seeing Moz four times in three different countries this tour and I can only say that Tilburg was another treat. The band are and have been very tight. And his voice is stronger than ever.
Jesse Tobias will never play riffs like Johnny Marr did, but he certainly has improved. He moved on...
On the Dutch tv-show 'De Wereld Draait Door' a new and unseen Morrissey photograph by Anton Corbijn was shown. Corbijn is responsible for the album covers / photos of 'Viva Hate' and 'November spawned a monster'.
To mark the sixtieth birthday of photographer Anton Corbijn, the Gemeentemuseum...

Looks a lot like what he has been playing lately. No real surprises.
In Essen before he started the encore he said goodbye with the exact same words: "Please remember me, but forget my fate."
It seems he is...
Lovely venue. Moz was in great form. Band playing tight. No surprises regarding the setlist. There were a lot of fans ready to jump onto the stage, which didn't have real barriers except security. Too bad it ended this way (during the encore), but a least not after six songs. On to Belgium!
Another tour extension: Morrissey @ 013, Tilburg (NL) - 16 december
After a very well received show at TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht) Morrissey is planning for more dutch delight. On december 16 Morrissey will apear at 013 (Tilburg) for his second show in The Netherlands. The venue has an excellent...
Just bought the Cat 1 tickets. Since this is an all seated venue (as far as I know) I'm hoping this means downstairs tickets and cat 2 balcony?! Otherwise I'd have to jump down to make it to the stage...

or is he still planning to come over to play for a half empty venue (6oo pax)?
If he does feel like cancelling I dearly hope he will let the world know today instead of tomorrow.
The man should really reconsider his touring schedules. Aparrantly...
I've been asking Morrissey to sing TTP for a couple of years now. He always smiles when I mention TTP.
Two years ago in Amsterdam he replied: "Tony the Pony is probably the worst song ever recorded in history..."
Two weeks ago another grin on the chin in Antwerp.
I will definitely try...
