          "Alone in London" (Score:0)
I love the fact that the cover photo is taken outside "Alone in London" homeless hostel in London's Kings Cross.

When I moved to "The Smoke" in the late 80's I felt lonely and basically "alone" and maladjusted. Although London was a fascinating place, it felt so big and it took ages to make real friends. Let alone making a living.

And then years after I used to walk past "Alone in London" every day on my way to work. The place is no longer there BTW.

Why re-release an album if the first pressing is still available? I'm sure there's marketing for something "new" and a need for more profits, but why sell a product that's already available?

I just want to go on record as saying... (Score:0)
...that I have ALWAYS liked Maladjusted. I would not put it near the top of the list of Morrissey albums, but I honestly would firmly place it above Kill Uncle and Southpaw Grammar. I know it was a critical and commerical flop but I do not see why it was so maligned. Alma Maters and Ammunition are great pop singles, Maladjusted is a muscley opening track, Trouble Loves Me is one of my favorite songs, and others such as Roy's Keen and He Cried are pretty catchy, while Wide to Recieve is also a beautiful song. Finally, Satan Rejected My Soul is great toungue-in-cheek Moz and a fine way to close out the record. Personally, Sorrow Will Come in the End is the lone downer for me. It's bitter Mike Joyce obsessing and is pointless. But, at least the song ammuses me.
So, if the reissue is meant to be an improvement, I am not sure that the album really needed improving in the first place and that is all I have to say on that matter.

This album was never any good: badly written, badly performed and badly produced.

This re-release is nothing more than Morrissey's attempt to rewrite history. It was never critically acclaimed.

"Maladjusted" should have stayed where it belongs: in forgotten, dusty archives.
