AS MUCH AS I LOVE MORRISSEY. I COULDNT EVER SEE MYSELF LICKING HIS BACK SIDE.

I think early solo because that was my favorite look for Morrissey~although i think they should do a Smiths-era glasses one also :-) I would buy many many of these stamps and send them with all my letters if this were to happen!

When Morrissey replaces the queen on stamps the revolution will have happened and there'll be nothing left to achieve in Britain.

And there'll be a far more attractive backside to lick...

WHO GIVES A CRAP! Why can't I get some respectable information off this site? Do we really need hypothetical polls about Morrissey appearing on a freaking stamp? I don't think so!

definitely his image from the smiths' era, either with or without specs! specifically, 1986 -- round the same time as 'the queen is dead' -- that was when he & the smiths were at the height of their career, and morrissey was at his most romantic and influential. *sigh* those were the days, weren't they?

if a stamp were to ever be issued of Morrissey, it would have to definitely be of him during his solo career. Why? because the smiths are DEAD! The only time I feel an image of Morrissey should be used for a stamp from the Smiths era is if the stamp is of the smiths. And who knows, there just might be a stamp with Morrissey on it some day soon. I mean, they already have stamps with N'Sync and the Back Street Boys on it already. But I doubt we'll see any issued by the US post office anytime soon because the US post office won't issue any stamps of artists unless they've been dead for at least 10 years. Just something I found out about.

I'd love to see a Morrissey stamp. I'd just collect them and put them in a very safe place. Morrissey rules, don't anyone forget that. Have a good tour in the eastern states Moz. We love you out here in the west.

I like the idea of the early solo picture but The man is aging gracefully, why fight it. Love him in the present. A young elvis was used for his stamp and I still remember the fat bloat that he was but I love him too sometimes!

I voted for later solo, but it doesn´t really matter. He has always been so handsome and still is.
Still I´m not sure if I would like to see them stamped, it would ruin his face.

MORRISSEY on a STAMP? BAH! Too ELVIS. i'd rather see a MIKE JOYCE stamp, so I could BURN THEM.

but of course i would love to see moz on a stamp! any pic will do, really, since he is such a beautiful being. but if i really had a choice, id have to say that morrissey looks absolutely delicious on the cover of the "we hate it when our friends become successful" cd single. that would be my prime choice pic for the stamp, and i would savor each lick, as im sure most of u will too! :P~

I think the idea is great. I would have to say that any picture from the Kill Uncle era would be the best!! "Nothing to declare except my jeans"

I would chose the promotional photos from Southpaw era, or Morrissey with the West Ham T-shirt.

I cannot help but comment on the comment made by 'Half A Person', who said;

"they already have stamps with N'Sync and the Back Street Boys on it already.... the US post office won't issue any stamps of artists unless they've been dead for at least 10 years"

Does that mean that the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync, are dead then?

Ohh! Goody!

If such a stamp were to exist. I would have to vote on pictures found on singles like "Live at KROQ", or "We hate it when are friends become successful". The rock a billy era.

In my haste I forgot the wonderfully beautiful photo on "Kill Uncle". You know the one arms outstretched....

A silly poll? Is there a poll that's not'silly'? Aren't polls almost by definition silly(or at the very least irrelevant)? What, pray tell, would be a poll worthy of (y)our time?
On second thought, I suppose I don't care; I just wanted to take the oppurtunity to use the phrase,
'pray tell'.

What about the extra-crispy, deep-fried, and bloated era? Oh, did you say the year is now 2000? (rubs eyes) Wow, what a long nap...must've mistaken him for another sexy hunk in a black (psuedo)leather outfit from some other time long gone.

It would be cool to have a Morrissey stamp.

I would just like to make a coment about Jeseppi (the idiot above). He's a real jackass isn't he? He's lost sight of the fact that this site not only always provides useful information, but it gives Morrissey fans a chance to have a little fun talking about different, sometimes pointless things. Why did he click on the poll? I don't know...he was curious probably. He needs to take an anti-anger pill, he's going to have a heart attack at his rate. Go away from the site if you don't like it, don't be a such a fuccking bitch!

The idea of having Morrissey on a stamp is definitely brilliant. I'm happy to see that in voting for the "Early Morrissey" picture i was among the majority... I must say I do like the "Queen is dead" era , too.

I seem to be the only French fan in here, too bad. Wake up, froggies. There's only one voice like his, isn't there?

well, a stamp isnt a bad idea, but lets see...a country voting on a Moz stamp? im like one of two people in my entire town who has even heard of Moz. but maybe we can make them for fans! yeeahhh...

They issued Mika Hakkinen in Finland and some other old farts all around the world, so why wait to have a stamp of Early Solo Moz (litited edition would be nice).

Granted, I love solo-morrissey and have tons of pics with the famous hairdo; albeit, his style originated with the Smiths and the classic look of the Elvis style hair and nerdy 50's glasses. So let us not forget our roots!!! My vote went to the original look with glasses and all. I hope others will see this through an historic perspective also.

Morrissey from the Smiths-era with glasses. Absolutely beautiful and forever endearing. Although he is of course just as beautiful now. Always will be. Ahhhh...Morrissey. Got tickets to four of his shows on the east coast tour so far, more will hopefully be bought soon!

I'm so sickened now! I hope there's never a postage stamp with Moz's likeness on it! The last thing I'd want to see is a mass marketing of Morrissey via a postage stamp. What good would that do us and why would we want it anyway? The added fame would hurt more than it could help. It was bad enough a few years ago when Vauxhall and I came out. People who could never care the least for Moz or the music all of a sudden were caught up with the video and media bandwagon. Then, as quickly as they came, they left. I find Morrissey to be an icon/legendary type person. If anyone deserves a postage stamp that'd be Brittany Spears. She caters to the braindead mainstream who'd be more than willing to buy her postage stamps as they do her horrible recordings. I think postage stamps decay the legendary image of those put on them. Now if you ask me when did Moz look his best... I'd have to say the early years. People mature with age and can grow handsome, but youth is a virtue and a gift slowly taken away. Besides, this is like choosing between the old and young Elvis. Of COURSE we'd choose the young Elvis!
Anyway I think to be eligible for one in the US the person has to be dead for a number of years. Viva los Moz.

This is a comment towards someones earlier comment...why not have a Smiths' Stamp? Because the Smiths are dead? How many commemorative stamps out there are of live "things", obviously Moz is alive and kicking, but just because the Smiths are no longer together doesn't mean that a Moz pick from that time would be unsuitable. If anything, it would be all the better, a photo of him when he was at his best...

then i looked over at the mozzer,and i said"so
