  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

  • There are so many excellent songs to choose from. Given that this is part of a tour where he visits places that were in the tour schedule earlier this year, I had hoped for a more significant change in the setlist.

  • I personally think playing b sides with all his new stuff don't really work, the simths songs are about right but you need some early and mid moz in there, i no you will never please everyone and moz don't really care what songs people want but there should be a bit more variation. But having said that il still watch him whatever he sings!

  • I'm so bored with First of the Gang. He must play Friday Mourning, which is one of my favorite Moz songs period! How about some old b-sides like Yes I am Blind or Nobody Loves Us?

  • Is it me of the Warsaw cd is just appalling? The sound, the band, the singing, it all sounds dull to me. I have the impression that most of his last releases are a mistake (Southpaw Grammar, Maladjusted, Greatest Hits... someone may add YOR and ROTT...)

  • He's playing EIGHT SMITHS SONGS. That's as close as you'll ever get to a real Smiths reunion. You people would still bitch if he played his entire discography.

  • Recently I thought the setlist towards the end of 2006 and at the beginning of 2008 were very good... when there were more songs I think. And he played some solo gems.

This one is still ok (it is Moz after all) but I'm sure Johan can reveal the full figures. The setlist has remained pretty solid with little fluctuation? Apart from the choice of Smiths songs and Teenage Dad and Ganglord added(great songs btw but Teenage Dad doesn't work as a live tune.)

I just don't think he enjoys playing live that much anymore what with his voice/maladies the way it is/are, and this also limits the setlist choices. MAybe though due to the nature of the tour he feels like he should play the set as in May as so many gigs were cancelled?

Although Leeds and Sheffield may have reaffirmed his faith a bit... why he continues to tour like a recently retired couple on their final salary pension is beyond me but he must have his reasons?

The way the current setlist meanders to the encore (I was at the RAH) and the gig lost any energy (that was not there with the crowd in the first place mind)
Watching the bassist do his best Level 42 Stars In Your Eyes impression was for some the highlight. Even Spinal Tap would cringe at that.

It would be a shame to see him end his live performances on full blown tours but the event that a Moz tour (wow its Moz) used to be has for me dissipated with the amount of gigs he has played since 2004. And possibly my age too.
With little or no improvisation within the set. Even the stage banter seems a little contrived now and repetitive (Celebrity chefs? yawn.... )

Should take a couple of years off and come and sing at the opening of 2012 Olympics!

    HSIN has GOT to go.

Crashing Bores has GOT to go.

and should be replaced by 5 or so rotating songs from '88 - '97 I hate how he is ignoring this period (mostly) on this tour. For me, I would rather hear songs from these years than the Smiths any day (any day.)

Though I am looking forward to hearing Cemetery Gates, I must say.

So, there's a gig. And why is First Of The Gang (mid-set in 2007) now the encore? You know what would BRING THE HOUSE DOWN as an encore now? 'Speedway'.

  • It would be nice to see a mix of songs - different ones here and there - but all in all, I really don't care. I just want to see him live and he can play whatever he wants. I'm happy with that. I mean, if I want to hear certain songs, all I've got to do is play the albums. It would be great to hear him sing those songs in person, but who am I to complain when he's only inches in front of me?!

  • I don't know if these songs have been on the setlists or not but I hope they have. I just bought "Swords" last week and heard these songs for the first time. Wow,I love them both! They are both such powerful songs in completely different ways. "My Dearest Love" is rather minimalistic but I love its slow burn. I love the way Morrissey sings this song and his lyrics are sincerity at its very best! And "Shame is the Name" is an Alain Whyte classic. The music is tremendous! I don't think the lyrics of this song are all that great to be honest but the way Morrissey sings the words is terriffic. I hope Moz and Alain can still collaborate in the future because they are one of the greatest songwriting tandems of all-time. Just like Moz and Johnny Marr are as well.
