              that was Kirsty wasn't it, even though she's not credited. Amazing back vocal, layered and sweeping. Gorgeous stuff. In fact, the Vauxhall era backing vocals were all great - Hated For Loving, Used to Be A Sweet Boy etc

                Surprised it's not listed. A lovely BV and adds substantially to the song. It is Alain and not just Morrissey's voice repeated in the verses, and then the "ahs" at the end after the key change give the whole thing a more aggressive feel.

                  im not suprised if just a few who choose He Cried. the lyrics so blue and Whyte backing vocal in this really give a beutiful athmosperic nuance on the song. anyone agree with me?

                      For those who didn't know, Sandy Shaw was originally set to do backing vocals on "Sheila Take a Bow" but it just didn't fit in the final mix. I thought it was an interesting tidbit.

                          This is one of the most over looked Morrissey songs ever! Ammunition is right before or after it and it's one of the best "back-to-back songs" groupings from Morrissey's solo stuff. Know what I mean?
