  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

Hell, I'm looking forward to staying home from work on Al Sharpton Day and Jesse Jackson Day, respectively. It's about time America gets some new national holidays.

  • Are we really comparing Obama to MLK vs Bush to FDR? FDR didn't have to lie to the American people to get them involved in a war that directly caused the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians and thousands of American men and women. So, I don't forsee such a scenario coming up.

It's lame that there's still shit over this stupid Reverend. John McCain has support from people who openly advocated the end times and the end of the world, but some cooko that supports Obama says "GOD DAMN AMERICA!" and people are all up in arms?

Shit, thank god no one who's openly advocated the decimation of an entire religion has endorsed Obama, I'd hate to see the fuss over that! That shit only washes with old white men.

  • I think that is what will make this speech so famous, is that it went against the grain at a time where our country is in a recession, and our economy is shit. At a time where we are at war in a country we should not be in and at a time where people need a leader who will not spin the traditional bullshit that so many leaders do these days. It takes a big person to come out and tackle a issue that as far as I am concerned should not be an issue but is due to the fact that we live amongst so many moronic people who are very close minded.

  • well, i personally enjoy the enthusiasm people have for this election. It's a bit misguided, but it's fun.

maybe it's my own cynicism talking here. how can you reverse *THIS*?

"we can pull the troops out of Iraq!"

Really? Do you know why we're still in Iraq? Oil! The minute we go, whatever government comes in to fill the vacuum is going to sell oil on the open market. Iraqi oil has not been sold on the open market for years. Even before the invasion, they were in an "oil for food" program. They'd give us their oil at a discounted rate in exchange for food! That oil is also traded in American dollars which helps the value of America's money. imagine, if you will, a land where we pull out and leave it to the Iraqis. Not only will the dollar plummet as they begin to trade oil in other currencies, but the Iraqis will be free to sell their oil to the Soviets, Indians, and Chinese who are seeing an increased demand as their economies take off.

Therefore, any politician who talks about a "timetable for withdrawal" is full of bunk! There isn't going to be one! There will have to be a fall of Saigon event first before we leave.

Second, the $600 tax rebate doesn't highlight how much Congress and this administration is willing to do to help you out. No, it highlights exactly what they won't do! Are they going to relax the bankruptcy laws? Are they going to install a national health care program? Are they going to help people who are being foreclosed on to stay in their houses? Are they going to regulate the banking industries that led to this financial disaster? Are they going to push for renewable energy to head off the inevitable track where we're all going to pay $7 a gallon for gas? Are they going to regulate the credit card industries who can get away with charging 23% interest rates if you miss one payment? Are they going to make those industries be more careful with your personal information so that you aren't forced to pay these credit card companies and credit bureaus an extra $50 a year to please not let hackers take your social security number and buy cars and jewelry on your good name? Are they going to spend money on roads and bridge repair in the traditional method of directly hiring the workers and making the roads available for free use, or are they going to overpay a bunch of special interest groups to build light rails and toll roads and other forms of transportation that are going to cost you for the simple act of trying to drive to and from work? Are they going to cap the price of higher education which is growing at a faster pace than inflation, or are they going to let schools feast at the student loan trough by adding "nose picking fee" and "East Aborigine codpiece expert salary" to students' bills?

    No!

it's not like Obama is going to halt the building of that stupid fence along the mexican border. it's too late for that. not unless he wants an explosion of talking head banter about how he doesn't care about the "security of this country's border" to ruin his re-election. The insurance companies have already bought and sold all of those guys.

That $600 is all you can expect! You, American public, have already seen the entire benefit you will receive by electing any of those clowns into office.

  • John McCain is an American hero and the right man for the job. The fact that right wing fanatics like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter despise McCain assures me that he is the right choice. He has repeatedly infuriated both Republicans and Democrats in the senate by crossing party lines and voting for what actually makes sense for America, rather than what the political parties are pushing for.

As far as Iraq...One question for the people who say "withdraw all the troops now!!!"...How irresponsible would it be to invade a country, overthrow their goverment, cause general upheavel...And then just leave!?!? We owe it to Iraq to stabalize the area and I believe in the end those people will be better off with a new government, and not a ruthless dictator who tortured his own people. But there are growing pains, and it would be dispicable to just abandon the country at this point. McCain has disagreed with the Bush/Rumsfeld strategy from the beginning, and not until he pushed for the surge, did things improve. McCain is absolutely the right man at the right time.

No offense to democrats, but Obama is too vague and simply says "change" over and over. Hillary is not someone I would want running our country either...The Clinton administration was littered with corruption and side-dealings.

the democratic party is highly undemocratic, creating ballot access laws that block 3rd parties, pressuring Greens & Independents to drop out, and using their big-media connections to insure so. Obama & Clinton are NOT for a single-payer healthcare system (they deceive by saying "universal healthcare")... and their Iraq policy is vague and leaves tens of thousands of troops in Iraq, EVEN when "combat troops" come home at an indefinite date.

don't fall for their pathetic rhetoric... "hope", "change", my ass. vote progressive, vote Ralph Nader... or do NOT complain that all politicians are corrupt liars. if you do not vote for the tiny few that have integrity, then you are perpetuating the cliches that you complain about!

  • I was getting curious as to why Obama, has been dethroning the heir apparent, Hillary Clinton, and gaining such a wide following. You can't even turn on the news without seeing his face blasted on every news channel.

A man who can mesmerize the masses, talking of standing up to organized money, to lobbyists, special interests, but his whole political apparatus is made of members of the same globalist organizations that most of Bush`s administration is made up of, except this time the stated agenda is CHANGE & YES WE CAN.

The mantle is being passed, and it seems that Henry Kissinger`s associate, and one worlder
Zbigniew Brzezinski, along with David Rockefeller, the co-founders/directors of the Trilateral Commission,a group an institution that openly declares itself a supranational government on their website, is going to have their very own puppet to play with, as well as massive powers that Bush signed onto.

The change that is coming, comes in the form of doubled foreign aid, carbon taxes, poverty taxes in the form of 0.7% of the GDP, and thats just for starters, increasing the size of the military, expanding the theatres of operations, the expansion of surveillance...who even knows what will happen between now and then.

The open dismantling of the US, the merging of the North American Union, and really the dawn of the RFID tracking age. A President of the world's dying superpower will have to oversee the transition into biometric scanning and a cashless society.

Do you think anyone will by it from Bush? of course not, but you can be absolutely sure Obama will sell this system to everyone, and grab those guns as fast as he can.

I've spent much time watching his speeches, listening to his words, watching his mannerisms, bringing crowds to fever pitch frenzy, with a media campaign behind him that no money can buy, thanks to links and connections that almost ensure his victory as Democratic nominee, having Hilary retain a Dick Cheney type position.

If you think you put up with tyranny under the Bush administration, you can just imagine what's ahead.

Makes me wonder if some sort of 'world leader' anti-christ type situation will develop, with the elite making the big moves for everything.

  • Barack Obama may not an "official" member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Nevertheless, he and his presidential campaign are incontrovertibly affiliated with and supported by numerous (corporate) CFR members.

His wife, Michelle Obama, is a member of a branch of the CFR in Chicago.

The Obama campaign has taken major contributions from corporate CFR members such as:

    JP Morgan Chase & Co - $282,387
    Goldman Sachs - $474,428
    Lehman Brothers - $274,147
    UBS (ag) - $298,180
    Citigroup - $247,436
    Google - $192,808
    Time Warner - $190,091

Obama complies, Clinton is a member, McCain is a Manchurian candidate.

It doesn't matter who you vote for..it's who they want. It's all rigged. Presidents are just the figure heads. The real evil is behind the curtain. Obama can easily dance around these questions because 95% of Americans don't know anything about this stuff. I goes right over their heads. They sit there and laugh and applaud cuz they don't know jack!

    Do you know;
The Global Poverty Act is a bill sponsored by presidential candidate Barack Obama. The legislation would mandate the United States to spend 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, equaling about $845 billion in additional aid over the next 13 years. And dont forget, The GPA also will require us to sign the UN's millenium declaration; which means America will have to ban small arms! Meaning private gun ownership. Your right to bare arms!

Obama along with all of the CFR are a bunch of lying pricks. I had no idea this guy was such a slick talker. He's smoother than Clinton or Bush ever was. Man, we're all fucked now.
