  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

On another note, who starts sentences with 'Wouldn't I be weird if...'?

On whether IT Supplier would want more money and someone said ‘…..cash on the nail’ ‘its just a fairy tail’. I carried on for most of the song for that one but is was in the middle of the Tour.

‘What difference does it Make’ applies to any missed deadline (yours or colleagues) and you can slip it in on almost anything. Performance appraisals are good.

I got ‘Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning’ into a conversation about a Project failing.

‘Seasick, yet still docked ‘ was an analogy applied to the start of a Project Design phase.

I get ‘That joke isn’t Funny Anymore’ in so many times I cant recall actual examples. ‘Well I Wonder’ is easy as well.

Try it, it is fun for all Morrissey Anoraks (preferably after you have got the job and not at the interview) and makes the monotony of work passable. It is nice when someone twigs as well (sort of ‘Radar’ for Morrissey fans)? There are some out there who have forgot they are fans!

I have never managed to get anything into a formal report or official document yet. Still trying.

I hate to admit it but, I tend to defend Morrissey's music to a lot of friends who just do not understand him or The Smiths. I tend to get on the converstaion about music a lot with people because it means so much to me in life. So, at work Morrissey's name is mentioned more than the weather.
If I meet someone that I am interested in for more than just a friendship, I give them the old 'Diner Test'{the movie}. I sort of feel them out and slip in the question about Morrissey slowly when the conversation turns to music. "Do you ever listen to Morrissey?" And if I get a response such as "do you mean Jim Morrison", or "Morrissey, who is that?" Well thats it, the date just came to an early defeat. I could never date someone who doesn't even know who he is. Imagine not being able to talk to a new love, [girlfriend or boyfriend] if they have never even heard of The Smiths or Moz? Its definately frightening. My nephew just turned 3 years old and I just finished burning all the Moz solo albums for him. He is now much happier. He will be singing all of YATQ before he goes to kindergarden! Now isn't that better than talking to him about Sesame Street or Barney? And to think when I was 7 years old I was listening to Elton. Thank God someone finally came up to me in Tower Records and talked to me about Morrissey!

I was a second-hand fan till recently, appreciating, after some disappointments from admired people, how the Smiths had unusually sustained people I’d cared about emotionally. When I told colleagues I was going to see Morrissey last year, within days without asking I had copies of Smiths compilations and the brand-new album. I experienced a beam from ‘the light that never goes out’ and was impressed, reinforced by my neighbour, Sack’s pal, who’d done some acting and used to put on this great imitation of Morrissey’s voice. Another friend was unexpectedly booked to see him in New York last year, and more came to the second concert in December where they were enthused. A few days ago, a pal revealed that he’d caught the flowers Moz threw at the SFX on a Smiths tour. So somehow though for a month or so, I had a Morrissey high, the subject is a legitimate occasional point of conversation now generally in my circle, and of course Morrissey-solo is a gift when connection just has to be attempted!

I've got a bunch of pictures of him on my corkboard at work and some people have asked who he was, but now I loathe having to explain "he's an English singer/songwriter...have you ever heard of the Smiths? yes? he was their lead singer" and wait for their "aha!" moment. I don't really mention Moz to any of my non-Morrissey/Smiths fans, because if I do, they'll roll their eyes.
