  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

Being a BIG Smiths fan when 'Viva Hate' was released, definately helped me get all of the Moz domestic and Import singles. In the late 80's I was working at Strawberries records and tapes to which introduced me to how and why you make friends with the record label reps. The free Morrissey promotional items was better than getting my paycheck at that time. And also having two of the BIGGEST Smiths/Morrissey friends that worked at Tower records in Boston was also an added bonus in the Moz/Smiths collecting department. When one of them became the head Import CD buyer for Tower, all kinds of Moz singles of all formats were being delivered to that location in Boston. My other friend was the manager on the rock floor at Tower and that was another great connection to help my Moz/Smiths singles collection grOW. And every 4 to 5 months, the three of us would wait in a bit of 'nervous excitement' for every new Morrissey song that was being released. At that time, Morrissey was very popular but you never had to spend more than five or ten dollars for any of his new singles compared to what you would have to spend nowadays. You could pick up "Pregnant" or "We Hate It" in all the different formats such as 7", 12" and CD all for under $10.00 or $15.00, And, you could do it all in the same day. When I look at my CD collection nowadays, at least 4 to 5 rows on my wall racks are all Moz. The only bad side to buying a lot of the singles early on was that they released them again later on. I bought some of the same cd singles/songs three and four times just to add a new one to my collection. It sounds cRaZy but, it felt as though I was buying a new Moz release even though the songs were the same and the cover was different. ***I promised myself I would not say the words "Reissue" or "Re-package" in this post. But, I guess I just broke my own promise!*** And even though buying the newest cd single releases is still fun, especially when hearing the un-released B-Sides. But nothing compares to the excitement of the release of the earlier ones from the late 80's into the early 90's. To me, when you could get the new Morrissey on 7", 12" and CD Single all in the same day for under $10.00 to $15.00 well, how could you not make your Morrissey singles collection complete?

I was very pleased with the song and the three B-Sides, so I also bought "First of the Gang to Die," but I found that it was inferior to IBEH. If all of Morrissey's singles had the quality B-Sides of IBEH, I'd own every one.
