Boz is legendary on the rockabilly scene, among the many bands he
has played with are The Polecats, Adam Ant, Boz And The Bozmen,
Ronnie Dawson, The Deltas, John's Children, Blubbery Hellbellies,
The Shillelagh Sisters, and Jet Black Machine. Boz is also a
producer, he produced the Moz/Siouxsie "Interlude"
single, as well as songs for Kirsty MacColl and Jet Black Machine.
Boz is also an avid record collector — it's easy to see why
Morrissey and Boz are a natural combination. In an interview
published in "Gypsy Explorer", The Marc Bolan And T.Rex
Fanzine, Boz mentions a conversation he and Morrissey had about
records:
"We were down in the rehearsal studio and we kept on talking
about records, bands and stuff and he'd say, 'Hey Boz, have you
heard of the Paper Dolls?' and I'd say that I'd got some Paper
Dolls, 'I've got a Paper Dolls acetate at home' and he was knocked
out by it. Then, 'Have you heard of Jobriath?' and I'd say 'yeah,
I've got a Jobriath test-pressing album at home, white label with
a proof sleeve.' I just brought him a sack of stuff to the first
gig in Dublin. I'm not sure how we started talking about T.Rex, I
can't remember... he told me the first gig he went to was the
Bellevue, Manchester, T.Rex gig around '72." (interview by
