Morrissey's birthday mentioned on Spin.com
From MozGurlie:
it's
really not that interesting, but it's cute...
Today
in History, Birthdays, Music, & Stuff, May 22,
2000
Created
by Spin.com's email loving Ultragrrrl (ultragrrrl@aol.com),
who informs us that "Stalking Thom Yorke [of
Radiohead] is not a crime."
Today is dedicated to Morrissey. For there is no
other man who can make us at Spin.com feel the way
that he makes us feel. No other man can speak to us
the way he does, and no other person is like he.
Today is Morrissey's 41st Birthday and there will be
41 candle lights (plus one more for good luck), that
won't go out. Hand in glove, and the sun shines out
of our behinds because that joke isn't funny
anymore.
A.J. Langer, the super amazing chick who played
Rayanne Graff on My So-Called Life is 26. She was so
amazing, why did ALL the hype go to Claire Danes? I
mean, Claire was alright and stuff, but it was all
about Rayanne, I mean, A.J.. It's like some sort of
sad Mozzer song where pretty girls make early graves
or something. (Julie would like to say that at one
point in her life she thought Moz and AJ Langer were
both incredibly hot!)
When Dan Roberts of Crash Test Dummies sings "Mmm...
Mmm... Mmm... Mmm...," it's really all a
prelude to "Mmmorrissey... Mmorrissey" but
that part was cut out from the original song.
Anyway, it's his birthday today and he's 33.
1954 - Mazel Tov to Robert Zimmerman a.k.a. Bob
Dylan, who celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on this day.
It's on this day that 13 year old boys become men,
and 13 year old girls become women, and 13 year old
Morrissey's rock.

Jonny Bridgwood on Kathryn Williams album
From Alison:
Last
night I was given an album called Little Black
Numbers to review for a University newspaper...
it's by a girl called Kathryn Williams who I believe
is from either Newcastle or Liverpool. Jonny
Bridgwood plays double-bass throughout, I'm assuming
it's the same Jonny anyway... sadly the album is
very poor, though I think that's more to do with the
girl than Jonny. It's a horribly under-developed
sounding record with hardly any drums (she could
have done with nabbing Spencer too, har har) and all
I can say is I'm glad I got it for free...
