Kathy Burke ("Ouija Board" video) talks Moz
Posted on Mon, May 15 2000 at 9:58 a.m. PDT
by David T. <david@morrissey-solo.com>
From Jim Royle:

British actress Kathy Burke [Nil By Mouth, Elizabeth, Kevin & Perry] mentions Morrissey in this month's Uncut magazine. Talking about pop music she describes Paul Weller and Jarvis Cocker as "heroes", and while talking about the latter moves on to Mozzer.

"I love his [Cocker's] lyrics, I think his outlook on life is just brilliant - the best thing since Morrissey. Because I used to love The Smiths, they were the best thing that happened in the Eighties. I just thought he was hilarious, his lyrics were so simple, I just used to adore him. And I ended up in a Morrissey video, "Ouija Board, Ouija Board" - the only song that didn't get anywhere! Ha Ha! It was pretty bad, but I was so delighted to be in his video. But it was also quite disappointing as well because you get the phone call: "Morrissey wants you to be in one of his videos." I was like, "Great!" I had visions of being one of those gorgeous girls on a bike that he usually has. But no, he had me as some fucking Fifties bus conductor! And he had me chasing him through a battlefield - me chasing him, if you please! The fucking big poof! You should be chasing me, love!"

I think moz did a job well done in picking her as a bus conducter. How the hell did she think she was going to be one of those prety girls in a bike?? she looks the same to me just older and uglier. And Moz chasing her around, please!!!! give me a break.

Kathy Burke is @#!!!ing amazing! No one knock Kathy Burke. Only unintelligent, low lives bored out of they're skulls with nothing better to do would say bad things about her!

Watch what you say!

Once again the NECK shares her homosexual fantasies! Oh yeah and uh, I am bored so let me just say that texaho has a lot of nerve (or stupidity) saying that moz should chase her. Don't you have a mirror? I'm sorry. I didn't realize it probably broke before you had a chance to see the (w)horror!

How can you stupid yanks get upset about the comments made by Kathy Burke? Why do you think Moz put her in his video? Why do you think Nil by mouth is one of his favourite films? Kathy Burke is bloody brilliant and it's just your obvious lack of intelligence that prevents you from realizing she's joking! Please, please, please die!

It's your obvious lack of intelligence that prevents you from realizing that I was only bagging on her to get back at Texaho.

I have always felt lost in a dream when watching Morrissey's video of "Ouija Board, Ouija Board". Not only does he look quite endearing, but the subject matter of contacting those in the "other" world has always appealed to me. Maybe "Ouija Board" was not a very strong song for some, but it again shows Morrissey's ability to write about things that may not have been addressed before. For some of us in the Well of Loneliness, it is an important song.

As for chasing Morrissey (at his request for a video shoot)...the pleasure would be MINE!

JIM ROME:
you are from Georgia... child, please....

you are delusional. i never stated that
morrissey would chase me.

anyhoo, you are the one attacking people.
you are full of misdirected anger and hate.
that indicates alot about your psychology.

it also indicates you've never been laid
or kissed full on the mouth in your life.

actually, i pity you. all the possible
scenarios of how desperate your life must
be. how loneliness drives you to post flames
on a morrissey page.

i've had my fun with you.... be gone....

Okay, I didn't want to carry this little feud onto another subject but you have forced me to. Seeing as to how the server is down on "Mystery Duet Revealed" let me just get in my own smack here:

You say I live in Georgia because mindspring is set in Georgia. Yes mindspring is in Georgia but errr they do have offices in PASADENA! See, technology allows even ME to pimp across the country. As for me not liking texas; that is completely untrue. I like Texas, it has alot of good sports towns. I AM prejudice against people who try and run smack on people who don't deserve it. Remember, YOU'RE the one that called ME out first. I'm just defending myself. I do have something called a life (look it up) so I won't and can't give you the attention you always try to get.

Another thing. Why does everything with you always have to come back to some homoerotic fantasy of yours? Says something about YOUR psychology. I guess this is what happens when they let 2nd graders get on the internet. I would feel sorry for you if it wasn't for the fact that I really don't care about your fetishes. But if you must call me out all over this site then I will play the part by telling your ASS off.

You like Moz so I'll put it in terms even you can understand: I've got no space and no time in my life anymore for revenge.

WAR Morrissey
WAR standing up for yourself.

Don't knock Kathy Burke man!
Perhaps Pammy Anderson would be more appealing to you? Anyway Kathy's an actor not a model. If you want to look at models there's plenty of other sites on the net that will serve your purposes.

If anyone has seen Kathy Burke being interviewed, they'd soon realise that she was joking. Moz would appreciate her comments for what they are...

Oh my God! I hate Kathy Burke so much. The only reason ever to watch nil by mouth is to see that dumb bitch get the kicking she deserves. Furthermore, Gary Oldman is a pretentious idiot who should never make another film ever! If this is truly a representation of his family then I'm glad to see that it was so grim, he is a yankee-loving big-head know-it-all. He deserves to die!!!

Victoria, you tell suzanne off on the novel page, and then attack kathy and gary on this page. Nobody deserved to have an alcoholic as a parent, so try to think before you speak next time.

You call yourself a charming man but I see little evidence of this in your language, OK so I lost it a bit when discussing Kathy Burke, its not my fault, that is the effect the woman has on me, she just annoyed me a lot with what she said about Morrissey and I may have become a little irrational, she just seems to be one of those people who "used to like the smiths" and now patronises those who still like him as if its a phase that we go through and then grow out of, like his music is not really valid anymore.
Also about Gary Oldman well I saw a programme about him and he was so awful and big-headed about himself that he made me sick. And the film was awful, there was no warmth or humour in it, no other side shown, just a relentless bleakness that I felt was contrived to evoke sympathy well he has come through it unscathed and has made a lot of money out of it so why feel sorry for him, he capitalises on his family's troubles.

I think her comments were funny.
Most of us would be flattered just to play
a seriously, disturbed mental patient, drooling on ourselves, If need be...right?
so playing a conductor in a Moz video,
could'nt be that bad.

Well maybe she's not used to chasing guys around,
And is quite traditional in her ways,
So Moz, decided to play a game of tag,
And chased Kathy to be in the video.
After she agreed,He cleverly turned her character into a obessive fan,So he could corrupt her,
And Expand her sheltered mind.A clearly good cover for him,And it was a way to finish the game of this intense courting.

Hmm, speaking of old videos...what if the pensive actress in the video of "Everyday Is Like Sunday" becomes a topic of discussion? Well, I wonder, what kind of postings shall we read then? I liked its ending - quite unique!

Kathy Burke is a brilliant person. She was being ironic. She was joking. You didn't get it? Do you cretinous Americans even know who she is?

OUIJA BOARD is a great song I'm totally surprised it wasnt received better, but isnt that always the case with Moz's music? Its a graet EERIE song (especially the intro music) and a great video with a kick ass house and yard.
