From Adam:

Morrissey has been immortalised in a mosaic on the walls of Afflecks Palace in Manchester. This has appeared in the last couple of weeks and is a work of some effort...

Afflecks Palace? What/where is this?
Who created the mosaic? some private venture or city council sponsored, a permanent tribute to a favourite son? Morrissey officially recognised as an ambassador for the city of Manchester? Well, they did grant freedom of the city to Alex Ferguson and how many albums has he released?

Affleck's Palace is very near Piccadilly Records in Manchester - I think it's just behind it actually, a couple of streets over. It's a huge building and every time I visit Manchester I shop there and have found great Moz/Smiths bootlegs and posters. I remember them having a picture of a clerk dressed as Morrissey standing in front of the Strangeways signpost up on the wall when I was there last year, so it's nice that they have added this Morrissey mural. Can't wait to see it on my next visit! :)

Could someone go and take a photo of it so we can all see it?
Go on.

Yeah, I'm taking a trip over there in about a month... I'll make sure and take pictures, so check back on my website in a couple months if nothing comes up beforehand...

Now take care, my sweet and tender hooligans!

I am going to Manchester this weekend, (my sis lives there) so I'll take my camera and, well, we shall see what we shall see! I can't wait to see it now, I hope it's impressive!

it's crap. The mosaic is a collage of loads of manc frontmen, and moz takes up about 2 square feet of it...
I'm afraid you'll be disappointed if you went especially to see it.
