Tour updates
Sorry if the tour section
so far seems unorganized, traveling to the shows has been
hectic as usual. Thanks to everyone who has been submitting
info / photos through the tour page
and through e-mail - after Coachella I'll have more time to
devote to the site. In the meantime, also check out MorrisseyTour.com for
updates from each show.
From Gladioli, a scan of
the ad which appeared last Sunday in the Sunday Times. The
same image was used in the poster sold last night ($7 in Santa
Barbara):
London (Nov. 13) may not be going ahead. From Grant:
The above gig does
not appear to be going ahead after all. The reasons being
that 1) Ticketmaster have taken this date off their system
altogether, 2) the tour advert that was doing the rounds in
the music press does not mention this date and 3) nme.com do
not have it listed. Putting 2 and 2 together it looks like
this date is a no-goer.
Manchester Apollo (Dec. 8?)
not confirmed, from NK:
I rang up
the Apollo to confirm this and they appeared to know nothing
about it. Whether they are try to curb an onslaught of
phonecalls that may well result in the confirmation of this
date I do not know.
The previously mentioned rumor
about Shed 7 supporting Morrissey in the UK are false -
Sack is supporting.
Scan from Smilingontim,
an ad which appeared in the Nov. Q magazine. The image
is also used for the tour t-shirt. ($18 in Santa Barbara).

Hole bassist nominates Morrissey sexiest male artist of all time
From Brian Cohen:
Morrissey
was nominated as the sexiest male artist of all time by Hole
bassist Melissa Van Der Mauer (spelling?) on the VH-1
show "The List". However, in true Moz fashion,
his name was removed from the list after another actress on
the panel eliminated him before a final vote was taken,
which the studio crowd seemed quite unhappy about.
Of course, Elvis won the contest.
From trouble:
I was
watching The List on vh1, where there are 4 guests and they
discuss different topics. Today the guests had to pick the 3
most sexiest men of all time. One of the guests was Melissa
something of Hole. She picked Morrissey as her #1 choice
along with Prince at #2 and Elvis at #3. when the list of
all of the choices were put up, they then had to each pick
one to eliminate. All was going well until they got to the
last person, Bridgette something, the broad that played the
teacher in Billy Madison, she chose to eliminate Morrissey
as most sexy. DUMB BROAD!!!

Stars In Their Eyes - Sat. Oct. 9 on ITV (UK)
From Robert Stagg:
The Stars in Their Eyes
celebrity special featuring Harry Hill as Morrissey is
to be screened on Saturday 9 October on ITV.
More details from Ryan Minchin:
'Celebrity
Stars In Their Eyes 2' is networked in all ITV regions in
the UK on Saturday (9th) night at 8.55pm and features
amongst others, British 'alternative' comedian, Harry Hill
appearing as Morrissey and Coronation Street star Denise
Welch as Petula Clark. For those not familiar with the show,
its basically a souped-up Karaoke competition where
(usually) members of the public get to realise their dreams
by dressing-up as their favourite singer and performing a
number. It'll be interesting to see what song Hill chooses
to perform.
