i assure you, culture club's latest effort is far better than morrissey's last two ventures...

Miranda: you say Culture Club reunion is only money, do you mind that Morrissey is only money as well? The only time something new comes out is when he has squandered all his cash on his latest boy toy and needs to replace the matress and buy more fake scar patches and paint to dab onto his clothes. Most new stuff has been utter crap I'm sad to say, probably written each day during his morning dump. How many compilation albums do most Morrissey fans have in their collections? Too many! I know I have Everyday Is Like Sunday at least on 12 different things. And each of them are exactly the same, no remixes, no changes whatsoever. As old age takes residence and seeks to devour our dear, most fondly remembered Mozza, I see that for him, the "artistic value" of his work matters no more. Who cares about writing anything new when money comes in just the same on the old crap, slapped in different order. At least Culture Club can come up with new stuff, even after so many years that sounds about exactly the way it used to, but also fresh and exciting. If old Mozza could pull off half of what they are right now, wouldn't that be a coup'? I would love to see it, but as I gaze at my left crystal ball, I don't see it coming.

People who like Culture Club should not be allowed on this site. And to compare them with Morrissey, well it goes to show just how little you know.Only if all the things Morrissey sings about, would come true. That would be a better world. It must be.

I really must say that Culture Club's latest record is quite tragic. An album that begins with someone shouting "ragga!" can't be good. So, anyone who compares CC with Morrissey should be banned from here. Case closed. Also, I think that Boy George should be visiting this site more, because just last week there was a story about a song called "Discokugelalarm". Hmm, let that be a lesson, mr George.

Dear Patti O'Furniture, "Everyday Is Like Sunday" is featured on the following albums: "Viva Hate", "Bona Drag" (compil), "Suedehead" (best of) and of course the EMI-re-release of "Viva Hate". Not to forget the single itself. That's all. I am curious to find out about the other albums that you say this song is featured on ...

Boy George is a moron. If he thinks that dying by having a 4 foot glitter ball fall on you is a glamorous way to die, he has some real thinking to do about what life is all about.

DEAR BUCK TOOTHED GIRLIF A 4 FOOT GLITTER BALL WAS TO FALL ON BOY GEORGE AND KILL HIM, THEN THIS WOULD INDEED BE A FANTASTIC WAY FOR HIM TO DIE. HOWEVER IF GARY GLITTERS 4 FOOT BALLS WERE TO FALL ON HIM, PERSONALLY IT WOULD TAKE THE SHINE OF IT FOR ME. ONWARDS, ONWARDS.

Ok, First off, Boy sucks, he could never have and doesn't have what Peter Burns own. Dead or Alive was a way and is still a better band, Boy's music was just for glam and money, they couldn't hold a lick to DOA or Morrissey. I bring up Dead or Alive because this glammer band stayed around like Morrissey and they are friends at that. These two bands never gave up. Morrissey is better than ever, he had a holly touch to him. Back to Dead or Alive, Peter Burns is amazing, and Boy took his work, do we all remember Nightmares in Wax, pre boy and that stupid band he is in. I hope next time the ball kills that @#!!!er. Moz will always play on, so will Peter Burns. They have the biggest cult following, and its no a club:>

How incredibly dull. That constitutes news around here does it? I hardly consider Smiths-song titles puns made by horrible Yank wank mags noteworthy. Like haven't we made these puns a million times ourselves already.Anyway, Boy was amazing live, but much like Blondie and indeed Moz, he played too much new sh*t and not enough hits.. Pet Shop Boys played the most old stuff. I think it's despicable how bands treat their audience. Like Joe Strummer said after he saw Blur play mostly new obscure stuff "If I'm gonna see the Bee Gees I want to hear them do Stayin' Alive". Oh and re:Pete Burns being better than Boy - please get real hun, just cos Pete had the Moz-association you think he's better. He was a one(albeit brilliant) hit wonder - produced by Stock Faceache and Waterbed too!

I believe the latest comment by John is the only clever one in this dull and completely useless discussion...which reminds me of the NME teenage angst obnoxious sections. I 've never been into Culture Club, but I find Boy George very sweet and certainly a resource, far more interesting than the currently moribond music 'scene'in which all the allegedly stars only talk about @#!!!e (have a look at Brett Anderson and his fellas). And certanly...yeah I give you that, it would have been a legendary way to die for a popstar. Get a grip.

I believe there was a bit of sarcasm in the poor boy's voice, when he said it would be a glamorous way to die. I know it's hard when it's all in written text, you'll get through it friends! If only we could choose how we go out that would be right up there on my list with being stoned to death by little tiny disco balls.. . . . . . mmmmmmmmm sweeeet whims.

Leave Boy George alone! Of course he is nowhere near what our beloved Moz is, but Boy George really helped many people who had trouble understanding themselves when he first came on the scene. Anyone who can make humor out of nearly being killed is splendid!

Ok first of all, Boy George is a heck of a lot more than some pretty boy grunting and groning depressing lyrics. Anyone who has seen him in concert knows he is a true musician. I have listened to "King George" since 1985, and his music keeps getting better and better. The song "More Than Likely", with P.M Dawn is one of his all time bests. So hey! Lay off Boy George and rank on some god awful 90's group!
