No, Howard does know who Morrissey is.

I previously stated that Mark Harris may be the GAYEST man in the country next to the interior decorator on the Discovery Channel and Kordell Stewart. I now recognize this to be a false statement. There is a black guy on the Home Shopping Network named Anthony Mark Hankins who sells his own line of women's clothes. THIS guy is the absolute jedi-master of gay. No contest.

Interesting you should think of 10cc as a 'gay' band. In the UK they are, to the best of my knowledge, devoid of this connotation.

The Stern Fan part of you should die hard.By the way, about 2 years ago, Stern himself made reference to Morrissey . . . I can't recall the context (it was mentioned on this site).

It's kinda strange because Howard Stern and Morrissey are completely opposites. Howared Stern with his whole show about big breasted women who do things that are just wacked out on national television. Then we have Morrissey who is on the other side of the spectrum. I think i'll stick with morrissey, he gives me purer thoughts.

No, I don't think Morrissey was ever mentioned by Howie some time ago..he was mentioned by that glamtrash thing called Manson around that time though, if you remember. Not like it makes much of a difference anyway, those media whores are all the same, all the same...

Just wanted to check in as someone who is also a Morrissey fan and Stern listener. They are complete opposites but clearly one can enjoy them both for different reasons. Can't imagine why Morrissey would want to associate with Mark Harris though...any other Stern listeners might also agree that he can be funny but when he sings...oh my GOD is he terrible!

He's a figure of excess. He wants more than he has; he thinks he deserves more than he's got. Joyously and pathetically, he pours all over everyone like a big open wound. In one sense, he's great because he's actually living -- but in another, he's a mess, and he's heading for a very dark place.

Both Howard AND Robin have mentioned Morrissey on separate ocassions......so yeah, they know who he is. I'm gay and I want to beat up Mark Harris. Moz does have a great sense of humor though. It'd be neat if he called into Howard's show once, and said... "hullo, doddy? dis is Ashley...when are you coming home, doddy?"
