Jejune and Lazychain covers

From Glen:

Just to let everyone know, Big Wheel Recreation records has just out out a new 7" with Jejune covering "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" and Lazychain covering "Handsome Devil". The Jejune cover is surprisingly good, but the Lazychain cover is lackluster. Either way a cool thing to have... check out the bigwheel site.

Looks like Lazychain lived up to their name. Not only were they too lazy to write their own songs, but they were too lazy to do it right. I bet they perform on stage in La-Z-Boy chairs.

I picked up a copy of that Jejune 7 inch the other day i have to say that the Jejune cover is really good but the Lazychain cover is horrible. Also I've seen Jejune play a couple a times and they are really good live.

well i have a very big fan of jejune i have seen them a couple of times and they are just wonderful live. The guitarist is a smiths fan. in fact he wore a queen is dead shirt.

i have also seen lazychain in concert and that is where i got the 7". they played the song live and it is alright. i can see why some would hate it but i like it because they put it in their style of music. the jejune version is the same as the smiths and i love that but i think that jejune could have done something in their style and it would have rocked. jejune is a wonderful band and i think that everyone should check them out.

Although both songs musically were reasonably good, their production values were horrible and you can barely make out the different instruments, other than that, I can't honestly say the jejune cover is better than the other one...
