Morrissey is Still friends with Linder? I've read he doesn't usually stay friends with anybody for too long. She must have something really special to have kept his interest for so many years. I wish I was her. Nah, I'll just stay me. I kind of like me the way I am, sort of.

hey lillywhite,
linder sang backing vocals on one of morrissey's songs but i cant remember which. They met when he was with the Smiths.

The article is written by Micheal Bracewell author of England Is Mine. This is an excellent yet highly individual resume of "pop culture" using Oscar Wilde and Goldie as bookends for a rather cool polemic.

The pictures in the article are most interesting , in that they show Mozzer has an iconic fondness for both Bobby Moore and Steve McQueen. Oh and he has an iMac.

Notebooks out semioticians. . .

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the Bracewell book (England Is Mine, 1997) also features many interesting references to SPM and places him amongst a rich tapestry of British writers.

Michael Bracewell also wrote the introduction to "Morrissey Shot," a photographic chronicle of the Kill Uncle tour by Linder Sterling. Anyway, I believe the two of them are currently "shacking up."

Apparently, Morrissey shared a flat (apartment) with Howard Devoto, founding member of Buzzcocks who left after their first release (the "Spiral Scratch" EP). Linder did some artwork for Buzzcocks records, and knew Morrissey before he was in the Smiths.

I seem to recollect that the shared house was "just one rented room in Whalley Range"

Maybe you are rushing love. What is the rush? Get to know a person a little. Call them; maybe the person won't be too afraid to talk to you. Maybe you are a little intimidating.

No pictures, unfortunately. I got the text from an online subscription news service, and the pictures weren't included. Can someone post them?

The Magazine (the Times) seems to be the only part of the Times newspaper that isn't on their webpage...and furthermore you can't buy it with the newspaper in some countries, like mine. So i'd love to see a scan, with pictures, if possible.

It is so nice to know that Morrissey has been walking around my hometown...I also would walk or cruise down Lincoln Heights.I remember going to this place called; "Las Cuatro Milpas" to buy this awsome 'Chile relleno burrito'. Well Morrissey, if you see this, "It's My Treat!" :)

Luv ya!!

Thank You Very Much!
