Why would ANYONE waste newspaper space on such a silly, utterly idiotic waste-of-a-band?!??! I saw these clowns a few months back in Pasadena and I couldn't stop laughing. The way that Jose guy carries on is just pure comedy... even funnier though is the way the morons who follow this band act...PRICELESS!! Since when did chaches and cholo wannabe's become Moz/Smiths fans? I remember these types of people were the ones who would rip on me continuously for digging The Smiths when I was a kid... Ahh.... screw them all!!!

I think the Hooligans are a very talented band! I did hate those people who used to rag on me for liking The Smiths though! I remember being called a "weirdo" because of the music I liked and the way I dressed...and now those same people who thought that I was a "weirdo" are collecting Morrissey CD's. What Losers! I hope they all rot in hell..Those Bastards! :)

I have seen the Sweet and Tender Hooligans twice now at the Smiths/Morrissey Convention. I thought it was cool that covered Morrissey and The Smiths ,personally I think they do a great job. I've seen Moz three times now, and it fun to relive those moments with Jose.

I'd like to see a Sweet & Tender Garrett's Fried Chicken article to commemorate the opening of Garrett's Fried Chicken in Tampa Bay, FL.

I agree with Boy Wonder. It's not a matter of racism, it's just that he's being straight up and some people don't like that. I am a Mexican Morrissey fan myself and agree that all these hard-core "La Raza" Cholo types are starting to ruin Moz shows more than ever. They seem to have some obvious problems controlling their behavior around others... Can this be denied? Honestly?

all i have to say is that the sweet and tender arent all of a great band...its good seeing them only once but not any more times than that unless its free i guess...plus i mean whats up with all those fans jumping joses bones? i mean hes not moz at all! but also im sure that lots of people other than being hispanic are offended about this because its all starting to be racial..and it shouldnt.

Relax boy blunder, the band is cool because they came out on a court show and the judge flashed a flyer that read "Morrissey", that was awesome. I think that was so cool of Morrissey to open up his first show in Arizona by saying, "We are the Sweet and Tender Hooligans".Party scene people who call them self "Rebels" suck, they are an awful cross between, Cholos, ravers, bikers, rockabillies, greasers, trendy people, jocks and clowns. When I was in the 7th grade there was this dork who would talk crap about Morrissey, at the time he was into snoop doggy dog. When I reached high school I noticed he started dressing like one of those meatheads some call "Trendy Rebels". Later on that year he asked me If I could record him the best Smith songs on one tape for him, he said he would pay me good money, he also told me how much he liked that song, "How Soon is When". Why is it people think Cholos show up at Sweet and Tender Hooligan shows, believe me Vic a Cholo would never listen to Morrissey, if he did he would be branded a @#!!!. If you can't handle the heat at a Morrissey show, tuff!! Ms Cardigan I love your band and your work. Oh they go on stage for fun, loosen up.

I do agree with most of you guys. I do think that some people go to Moz shows not because they like Moz but for other stupid reasons. I also think that some of these people that call themselves "greasers" and that say that they are Moz fans is ridiculous. These people say they like Moz for his music but they really don't, they just like him because Moz and the band have the same hair style or dress the 50's look on occasions but they really don't like Moz for his music but for his image. I'm not trying to offend anyone but this is just my opinion. I would also like to give credit to Sweet and Tender Hooligans for being a Moz/Smiths tribute band...."Thank you and goodnight"

I think there is a little bit of truth in all the postings here. Morrissey does have a large Mexican fan base - I've noticed it at every Morrissey concert I've been to since 1997. Being Hispanic myself, I don't mind it, but I'm just curious about it. Like, why? I mean, if 75% of Morrissey's fans were Irish or something, I would still be as curious to know why. There is definitely a "scene" going on at his concerts. It's very hard to discern one guy from the next with the standard attire of cuffed Levi's, black Converse, and pomade-saturated pompadours. I do believe the majority are sincere fans, but being how trend-driven nerds seem to penetrate any scene, it's inevitable they will be present. I say ignore them and enjoy Morrissey. Once he starts singing, no one else exists to my eyes or ears. He finds the words to express what's in the hearts of the self-conscious and tongue-tied, and I love him for it.

Half an ignorant person you got it wrong you are all confused, you see Boz, Alain and Gary were part of the 1950's Rock "n" Roll sub-culture long before they even heard about "Morrissey". Morrissey obviously likes this sub-culture because you see some of the Rockin' scene is in his sing your life video, you see those aren't little actors. This might seem strange to someone like you but those people dress like that everyday, believe it or not the world is not into everything you are into. There are a lot of Hardcore 1950's Rock "N" Roll people who wouldn't go near anything that has to do with Morrissey. I am sorry to say but not everyone who is into "Morrissey" is all into the brit pop scene, some people that love his work are from different scenes like, goths, punks, some 1950's rockers "Greasers/Rockabillies", crazy emo people, if you don't like that tuff titties bitch.I Love the 1950's Rockin' Scene, I love everything about it the music, the clothes, the cars, the movies, but unfortunetly I also think Morrissey is pure genius, anywho there is no way I'll ever change my style so all you people who don't like people like me can kiss my arse. Maybe the reason a lot of his fans in LA are hispanic is because LA has a lot of hispanics, and it's like the "Trendy Rebel" central of the universe, and a lot of these meatheads like Morrissey or atleast pretend they do.

I completly agree with you guys, ive also been to a SATH show, and hated it!! People rushing the stage, oh it was terrible. I think Moz said we're the Sweet and Tender Hooligans because he thinks they are retarded, but thats besides the point. I like it that most of us are hispanic it doesnt make me feel out of place, does that go for all of us? I think it would actually make us relate a little more, i dont categorize myself as anything, but i do Love the 1950's and so do all of my friends that love Morrissey, Morrissey isnt rockabilly he has a rockabillyish tone to some of his music, which makes it always a little better, but rockabillyish or no, we love him all the same.En Fin .. We all love Morrissey ... No?

Can we PLEASE stop all this arguing and insulting of one another. Look, all of us who are TRUE Morrissey fans know who we are and we also know who the little followers are. So why don't we just enjoy Morrissey all together and laugh behind the backs of the little followers who have no life! I will be waiting for Morrissey at The Pasadena Civic!!

Well, do you really like Morrissey or are you just concerned with what your friends like and not feeling "out of place"? I think the Hooligans are very good, and they let us hear Morrissey's music live when Morrissey is not touring, which is, of course, most of the time. The only time people rushed the stage was at the Convention. These people were trying to get onstage just to be jerks and show off to their "friends" and stage dive and ruin the show for the rest of us. SATH's regular shows do not involve such idiocy, but only the rare occurrence of a drunken fool trying to sing along to "there is a light..." And do you really think "Interesting Drug" is a good song to mosh to? Really! One more thing: I don't think Morrissey said "we are the sweet and tender hooligans" because he thinks SATH is "retarded". If you follow this logic, perhaps Morrissey is wearing a mexican flag belt to say that Mexicans are "retarded". I think it's Moz's way of saying "thanks". Morrissey appreciates the fact that a tribute band like SATH exists and that his fans want to hear his music live, so they go to see the Hooligans. If you speak to any of the members of the Hooligans you will find that not one of them suffer from Down's syndrome and that they are much better at forming sentences than you.

Are any of you people musicians? Let's here you try to play some of Morrissey's songs! The SATH are a VERY talented band. They are always on key and Jose has a very good voice. If you do not agree, then don't go to their shows. Maybe you would prefer to go to a Ricky Martin cover??

One smart human moron I think it's time you take your own advice. En Fin Moz wouldn't say those comments to put the band down and you know it, well maybe you don't know it and maybe you think Morrissey is some kind of jerk who talks @#!!! about his fans. Selena we are never going to spot arguing, till these drones stop talking all this negative stuff about other fans who are just trying to make things better, this message board has become religious, people just can't stop arguing. Hey there's nothing wrong with little fans, I started listening to Morrissey and only Morrissey when I was 8 and there is nothing wrong with little fans, some of the older heads are the weird ones that are out of ambition. "Trash" is a song to somewhat slam each other to, just watch live in Dallas Morrissey and the band will teach you how. Hey Maladjusted I got a erect penis for your mother, I am hispanic you racist jester, don't hate me, hate those dorks that call themselves "Rebels" and go to raves and @#!!!, even though some of them really do like Morrissey hate them anyhow because they clap when they're at raves.

Why is everyone so rude?? It takes alot of guts to get on stage and perform. I give the SATH props for doing what they do, and while many of you disagree, I hope that they play many, many more shows. Does it make you feel better about yourself to bag on someone else for doing what they love? I think Morrissey would strongly disagree with many of you here, and I am sorry to see that his fan base has become so hateful of each other and the SATH. While we are all not made from the same mold (hispanic, greaser, rockabilly, white, asian) we all have one thing in common..Immense love for Morrissey, and isn't that what REALLY matters??
