Why???
It should be the other way around Las Vegas and then Santa Barabara. That's not fair... That's great thought that we got some confirmed shows...
Woo hooo!

I just did the mental calendar in my head...unless the earliest shows are farther east, and were chosen to be announced last (which makes no sense) it looks like all of us in the midwest and east are out of luck!

Okay everybody, I just came to L.A. from Munich this summer to see Morrissey (now THAT is a fan!) and I am so glad all you wonderful people put in the lastest news about the concert dates etc. But I think I'm in need of some of help to get tickets for the dates like in Santa Barbara, for example. Can anybody give me a hint? Or can I maybe meet some of you out there, like next Friday at the SATH event at Canoga Park or so ... Thanks in advance!!!

Won't it be nice when we have a nice big list of confirmed dates, you know, the whole tour written down instead of these dribs and drabs. Blah. Morrissey, MONTREAL loves you and is dying to see you.

This is the best news in quite some time! Morrissey, I know you visit this sight (who wouldn't check out a site devoted to them!), so I have a request: Please play "the operation" at the Vegas show! I have to assume you won't have time to make it to the Mile High city so I'm coming to you!!! Good to have you back old man.
(not that you were ever gone :) )

I'm sorry, but who confirmed these concerts? I went out to the House of Blues website, and they have no news of a show on that day.

heh heh.
Pursuant to my doubts, I called House of Blues directly, and indeed, they confirmed the existence of that concert. As of 2:00pm, the woman with whom I spoke had no ticket price information, but she said that tickets would go on sale this Saturday at Noon. Noon? whatever. She said that ticketmaster would be handling the sale, too, though Tickemaster.Com shows no news of the concert either. If anyone wants to call him/herself here is the number for the Box Office at House of Blues 702.632.7600
Cheers!

Does anyone know who will open for Moz at these shows? I don't really care, but I am curious. My boyfriend Jake and I are going to both shows (and Coachella), so it would be great if Moz had somebody good open for him. Any ideas?

Somebody said Morrissey might read these messages so here is a message to Moz.
Dear Morrissey,
Please play a concert in Florida. I am a new fan and would love to see you in concert. I love your music. I really like the words to the songs. Come to Florida please!!! (cocoa beach or orlando are my 1st choices)
Thank you.

The House of Blues is a great choice... It isn't all ages but to see a show in a place like that is a true memory you will hold on to, and I assume the same for the SB show. Theres a reason for his choices so to beg for a tour would be pointless, he's playing where it's closest. What I personally would love to see/hear about is a suprise show in a small venue. That's where you really get the intensity, closeness, and reality.

Well I am glad to hear that Moz is going to Santa Barbara. Hopefully (and I pray every night on this), he will visit the Bridges Auditorium in Claremont and play another wonderful performance.

As for his opening band, there are many great choices. I would be elated to see Gene warm it up for Morrissey. I know that you folks would like to see Suede or something, but lets be realisitic.

So Morrissey, pick up your proteges as your opening band!!! GENE!!!

Hmmm...Moz hit NYC *twice* two years ago...I hope he doesn't think we've been spoiled, now...and I share the sentiment with all who'd much prefer smaller venues.
Psst...I hear ex-Guns 'n' Roses drummer Steven Adler is the replacement for Cobrin!!! Rock on!!!

So, what's your motive, dear boy? Taunting? Raising false hope? Either way, it has to end. We already know where you're not going and I accept that. I won't cry or beg because I know you, and I can almost envision you cancelling your tour right as I'm getting on the plane. But, when I first heard the news about this tour I was jumping up and down and THAT, my friend is the indicator, and God knows you probably think I'm dumb for doing that at this point, but this is the truth.

For those of you who went to the House of Blues site and couldn't find any info on his show, I called and they (the box office) confirmed the show (Oct. 7) and tickets will go on sale Sat. Aug. 28. As for the Santa Barbara show, I can't confirm that, or when tickets go on sale.

I am so damn happy :) One night after another... Santa Barbara, Vegas, Coachella, then Germany! YES!

(Morrissey always makes me go broke.)

just my thoughts

the news about johnny and beck said they were in the studio. it takes only a day to create a song. the beck-mozz show will be a month an a half away. im sure johnny will have moved on by then

the vegas house of blues is very intimate. i saw ween on the 7th here an no matter where i stood was close.(the balocney which probably holds 200 was closed because ween reserved it for their family of about 20)

i have been coresponding with boz for the last two weeks trying to create this web sight of his visit here in vegas of the pictures i took of him and his wife lynn....all of the sudden i get a message from lynn that boz is out. i should have noticed when his show was starting here in the states butttt...

did yall notice that the two shows that were just confermed 3 days before the cali show was sudden, plus after that show on the 9th he will be in germany on the 13th. how much earlier will he cram the few other shows. the malajusted show he did at least 2o shows per month : )

EAST COAST! EAST COAST!

God I hope he comes by here again. I went to both the DC and Baltimore shows last time. Both were excellent but the energy was much higher in DC. Probably because everyone was scared of getting shot in that filthy neighborhood in SE where the show was. Any District dwellers or Baltimorons who want to get together if there's a show here drop me a line!

Does anyone notice how Morrissey likes to frolic is sandy places these days? The drives to death valley, the record signing in New Mexico, and now the shows in Vegas, Coachella, and Arizona? Not being anywhere near a desert, don't they all look alike after a while? Maybe there is the thrill of driving deep into something that you associate closely with death. Vultures, the endless number of films where people wander the desert for days searching for water, area 51....

I at least hope he is going to Mexico for scenic tours. I would hate to think of him crossing the border to get cheap Mexican food and beer like certain people I know. I know it's none of my business, but I can't resist! :)
